When making splines tangent to vertical or horizontal construction lines- is that the same as putting a horizontal constraint on the spline handle? Or is it better practice?

If there are handles, which can be constrained, you can use the handles as well. Which one is better? Usually only one way will work. If both work it should be the same.

Not at all, onshape is more similar to solidworks. Rhino is completely different.

Hi Wolfgang, The front part of my rim is a surface, the piece at the back is a part. i'm not able to combine these two. How should i fix this?

Thicken the surface then unite it with the solid.
