Since the inception of my business, I've maintained contact with a financial advisor. In the current cultural landscape, the difficulty lies in discerning the opportune moments to buy or sell when dealing with trending stocks. This process, while seemingly straightforward, is effectively managed by my advisor, who handles entry and exit orders for my portfolio. Over the span of just a little over a year, my portfolio has seen substantial growth, exceeding $750k.

There's no way you were born to just pay bills and die. Strive to become financially secure that you forget that it's payday! It's how you control money instead of letting it control you! This is an important mindset to have as an entrepreneur like us. Let me share you our story :) We own a cookie shop business in our college town. When we first started it, we were living in our car with very little direction, just a huge passion to be successful. We just graduated college as well. We started the late night cookie shop out of a local bagel shop in their off hours at night. We were living in our car in the parking lot of the shop at the time with my boyfriend, Bran. It was a crazy experience but it worked! We became a success! And how we have our first storefront location (a second launching in January!) We started it to fund a year long backpacking trip around the world and to be successful while living the life of our dreams.

Having roommates will definitely bring the cost down but at some point you'll eventually want your own place. You'll have to decide if your budget allows you to rent a studio, one bedroom apartment, or buy a house. Many will tell you to not exceed 28 percent of gross income on housing. Most of the time hitting that 28 percent is not a good idea.

There are plenty of other good universities around the globe. I haven't paid that much to go to university, except 100 dollars for the registration process. You go to university to learn, not to worry about money (although this might motivate some people to work harder, to get better results, but those are just bad students in my opinion).

Hey Matt, I'm 16 and I found your channel a few weeks ago from your video "I Quit Social Media For 30 Days". And for the past few weeks I was trying to spend less time on Instagram and other apps that wasted a lot of my time. So after seeing that video I deleted all social media of my phone and I logged out of app of them on my computer. Right now I'm on day 16 and I feel way more free and not bound to my phone or anything. Often times I'll just leave my phone at home and not even really care, and I think that's pretty sick. When I'm done with the 30 days I was planning on making a video about what I learned and what I experienced. Hello Matt! Just finished the total money makeover, I'm fresh out of college, my engineering degree in the pocket. No student loans since tuitions in France are about 800/year or 0/year depending on your parents' income (my case, single mom, nurse). I feel very grateful not to be held back by student loans. Got my first job as an engineer. These last couple of months were a little rough since I hadn't planned and saved before finishing school. I don't want that again so I will keep my financial thermostat down to build comfortably my emergency fund even if I now earn good money. I am currently downsizing and embracing a more minimalist way of living. Just wanted to say hi. Keep up the good work!

I like coming back to this video because it makes a great point, so many people think financial freedom means everyone wants to be millionaires but really most people just want to be out of debt and have 6-12 months' worth of expenses saved up. It's such an amazing feeling knowing that you can quit your job at any time and be fine. It takes the power out of the employer's hands and puts it in yours. It gives you the freedom to negotiate your pay when searching for jobs because you aren't desperate to take whatever low ball they offer you.

Money doesn't buy happiness. Money is not the most important thing. Until you don't have it. But seriously. As a medical student who's about to be graduated. My conclusion of this matter is this : Money IS the most important thing because it can purchase your wellbeing, aka Healthcare. Especially if you live somewhere like the U.S. You can't enjoy spirituality, can't enjoy family time or anything life has to offer if you're dead. I've seen this play out countless times in my education. It's unacceptable what is going on in the U.S. So yes. Money is the most important because health is the most important

Couldn’t agree more. I think of it as “bridge money” and what that means is the moment your life changes and you get fired, quit your job, want to move somewhere, etc., it provides you with plenty of time/money to bridge the gap between one job to the next. I personally have a 6 month Emergency Fund specifically for those situations should they arise, and also a $10,000 Rainy Day Fund. The RDF is the real emergency money for when my car engine blows up, I break my leg and need to pay the deductible, get in a car accident, just any unexpected life-happens type ordeal, that’s pretty much covered under my Rainy Day Fund. Having both of these Saving funds has increased my overall positivity by leaps and bounds, and I know in the back of my mind that I don’t have to stress or worry about money in the short term.

This is exactly the set up my wife and I have been using. We really don’t count our Mortgage as a “debt”. Only because this isn’t the last home we buy. We consider our debt ex. Cars and credit cards. The worst advice anyone ever gave us once was. Wanting something is good enough reason sometimes to buy something. Lol! Well we took that advice and ran with it. In 2 years. We accumulated $15000 in credit card debt. After the dust settled we went back and looked at the damage and we’re so embarrassed of ourselves. We had no self control. We are now on the right track in becoming debt free and are really excited. We decided to go with the snowball effect. We have terrible interest on our credit cards. I’m actually too embarrassed to say how much it is, but trust me when I say it’s bad. One of our minimum payments on our card is $175!!!!! Fuuuuuuu that!!!!! We’re rocking the spreadsheet and have paid off 2 credit cards. I am a plumber and do odd jobs to help people and use that money to pay off our debts faster. It’s a hustle but my wife and I got ourselves into this mess....did I mention that we have 2 kids. ( the plot thickens) 🤣🤣 thanks for the video Matt. Great tips. I live in the Netherlands so I get a state pension at age 65. But on top of that every employer is obligated to offer you an additional personal pension plan. So when I reach that age I will have twice as much to spend a month than I do now. Later in life I had my own business for about 25 years and managed to create a huge runway of just over 11 years by living very frugal which I still do. I am currently 56 yo and unemployed but there is no real reason for me to get a job anymore. Mortgage is paid off, solar on the roof and heating with an efficient heat pump so very low monthly expenses. But I currently do still have a low paid part time job, I don't want to isolate myself too much. Since we have a single payer health care system here I do not have to worry about money anymore for the rest of my life. And that gives me enormous peace of mind. Additional tip: we have so called 'recycle stores' here, similar to a thrift store and you should go in on occasion, you may be surprised what you may find if you are lucky. What I also do: when I love a new item I want to buy, force yourself to think about it for a week before allowing yourself to buy it. Do I really need it, will I use it often, is it worth the money, may I regret buying it later? And then make the final decision on whether to buy or not after a week. Also, spending as little as possible on an item can be a lot of fun. I had my mind set on this gaming computer which cost about $1200 and was way outside my budget. So I wrote down the specs and started gathering the components over a period of 7 months. Some of them I bought on Amazon sales and some secondhand on Ebay auctions. When I built it, with some help of a friend, I had spent only $515 in total on exactly the same computer. And it gave me a great feeling of accomplishment. I was raised in the 60ies and my parents always told me to spend less than I earn so I was very lucky that it was kinda baked into my system from a young age. Good luck everybody: don't give your hard earned money to greedy corporations, spend it on yourself. ;-)

In my opinion, venturing into a good investment is not just a strategy for generating passive income but a profitable saving method for future expenses. Those who fail to make the right decisions early in life end up regretting it. Nevertheless, investing can be difficult and risky doing it solely, For this reason, I advise seeking help from professionals(financial advisors). It’s not just watching videos and reading investment books the challenge is using them well.

Steps to financial freedom: 1. Minimize your rent cost. Live with family or roommates. 2. Don't overpay when you eat out. Do you really need that $2-3 cup of soda with your meal? 3. Invest it instead of buying things that lose value over time 4. Don't get into a relationship with someone who can't be as frugal as you

What's up with American's tendency to spend money they don't have? Why is it more culturally common to depend on credit? And being obsessed with credit scores? Here in Europe loans are usually more common for real estate, and some people have a monthly car payment, but even cars are usually more common to be bought full price with no interest.
