Psilocybin saved my life. I was addicted to heroin for 15 years and after Psilocybin treatment I will be 3 years clean in September. I have zero cravings. This is something that truly needs to be more broadly used in addiction treatment.

Of course doctors "push meds" on you. That's what a doctor does. A surgeon will want to cut it out, a psychiatrist will medicate it out, a counselor will talk it out, etc. If I go to McDonalds I shouldn't complain that "all they do is sell fast food". If I want my car fixed I don't go to the florist and complain that all they want to do is send flowers. Picking the right practitioner is OUR responsibility, not the docs.

MrEvoHK, I do believe these are good things. I'm suffering from health anxiety, but of having or developing a stronger mental illness like going into psychosis or worse. From the moment I wake up, dull headache starts up, feelings of nervousness start, stomach turning, bathroom trips like crazy. Don't want to go to work but I force myself. It's not just work. I feel nervous doing everything, even pleasant things ie: watching TV, playing sports, watching my boys (8 and 10) play sports, (I also coach most of their sports which is very tough for me). I had a scary experience in my mid 20's, tripping on bad weed and it sent me into an hour of panic/freaking out/hallucinations/brain felt like it was melting. It was the scariest moment of my life, and I've had a heart procedure for a condition called SVT (racing heart - over 240 BPM's) for decades. I'm 41 and been having issues for a year. Started with the heart palps which I thought maybe heart problem back, and now I have full blown health anxiety. Just hearing people talk about their own health problems makes me feel weird, sick, anxious. If they talk about mental health I feel ever worse. :( I've been having full body muscle cramps after workouts or playing sports, so now I'm actually nervous to play tennis and hockey, things I used to enjoy. There's way more to my story and I could write pages and pages but I've tried your list: meditation, mindfulness, exercise, B vitamins, magnesium, many, many other suppliments for cortisol relief, acupuncture, acupressure, had tons of tests done for leaky gut/candida, food sensitivities, cortisol levels, blood work for sugar issues, electrolyte levels.... I just don't understand why my body and mind are letting me down like this right now. Biggest fear is when my head starts to feel intense, it literally feels I'm going to go into that state from the weed trip - I'm afraid my brain is going to lose it, melt, stroke perhaps, go crazy etc.... If I never had that experience perhaps I wouldn't have something to connect this feeling of fear to. So does that make it PTSD about that event? Been seeing a psychologist for long time by the way and he keeps reassuring me it's stricktly anxiety but I feel so weird sometimes I can't help but think it's something worse. Anyways thanks for your input - Mike - 41, Canada

@@robhoffmann3434 Magnesium to bowel tolerance, B12 in the form of methylcobalomin with B complex injections and a good counselor. Find someone in your family who will tell you honestly how you were raised from the time you were a baby. Things that affect you but you don't remember because you were too young. There are other things to do also but this will be a major beginning for you.

@@icecreamladydriver1606 Thanks for reply. Of the things you've mentioned, I have taken b complex vitamins, magnesium citrate before bed, and a battery of other supplements/vitamins/minerals etc. I've been seeing a psychologist for 10 months. No matter how much he reassures me that these weied feelings I'm feeling does not mean I'm not going into psychosis, or developing schizophrenia etc, I can't let the belief go. I try to explain to him it's not like I have these beliefs for no reason. Fear creeps in, dizziness, lightheartedness, feel cloudy, foggy, dull headaches, heart uneasy and aware of heartbeats, but the weirder feelings in my head are what really scare me. While talking to people I have a hard time maintaining eye contact, feel lightheaded and like I'm on a boat, and it hard to describe but it feels like I'm pulling out of my own body. Been told this is either disassociation or a form of depersonalization. Almost a temporary feeling of unreality. If it was just a bit of heart palps and minor dizziness, I wouldn't feel like I'm going crazy. It's all the weird head feelings, thoughts, racing mind etc that scare me. Did I mention I have a brother with schizophrenia? He was diagnosed early 20's but family said something was obvious from when he was young. So despite me being 41 and my psychologist telling me I absolutely dont have it or developing it, my brain is making the connection that this is much worse than some anxiety I felt in my 20's, and I have a brother with it so it "must be something worse". Anyways, regarding my upbringing, I will chat with my other 2 older brothers. Even if they tell me things, what do I do with this information? I can tell you they've told me when I was a year old I was choking, almost purple, and my dad literally did life saving maneuvers and saved me. I also remember under 10 years old in a pool, a kid climbed on me and wouldn't get off. I was under water for 30+ seconds panicking and he wouldnt get off and I felt I was going to die . I remember it to this day. I also had heart palps growing up, had heart tests and were heart monitors many times in my life. So I've worried about my health from a young age. Anyways I appreciate you giving suggestions and your time.

@@320hp My dear young man, my heart aches for you. I understand much of what you are talking about because I have experienced some of what you mentioned and very aware of my heart beat and other health concerns from a very young age as well. I am much better with age. I did the king of hearts test plus a couple of others. You have certainly had things that would cause you panic disorder. One of the things I am hoping your older brothers can tell you is if you were left in your crib to cry for long hours at a time. Or sent to your room for long hours at a time. Any form of isolation. Many parents do not realize how serious such things are and how far reaching they are. Severe damage can happen from such feelings of abandonment in early childhood. Chemical reactions can actually take place and cause a lot of problems not only to our minds but also can change the pattern of our brains at such a young age. You asked what would you do with that information. I think that when we know what causes a problem then we can begin to work through it at least to some degree. I really believe the quote "and the truth shall set you free" when we look at it in the right way and learn to forgive. I hope you will go to earth clinic dot com and look up some of your symptoms and maybe find some help there. I am sure you could also look up schizophrenia and see what may help that. This sight is about using nutrition for healing. It is about herbs and supplements. It seems that most illness comes from lacking a nutrient. I wish you the best.

Thank you so much. I was diagnosed with panic disorder 11 years ago and i have been dealing with it for like my whole life. Everyday i feel like i am gonna die, every day i get extremly painful muscle cramps. Everyday i get this new physical symptom. I dont remember a time when i was fully okay and fearless. And what hurts more is that no one, no one gets it. Not even my family. People has called me crazy and attention seeker. Nobody understands, not even the doctors i go to. They dont take this much time to explain what's really happening. I always had alot of potential in academics but i never got what i deserved coz i could never use my potential fully. I was absent most of the days in school. I want to do alot of things, i want to travel, study, make a family. But everyday its " oh i think i am having a heart attack" " i wanna eat coz i feel low and dizzy". Sometimes i feel like my family is tired of me. I can see it in their eyes and sighs. Being an asian i live with them so now i dont even ask them to take me to hospital coz i feel guilty. Hence all the doubts remain buried inside me and are never cleared. Sometimes i wish i had a physical explainable disease so that people could understand and take me seriously. Its hard when you are going through so much and no one gets you.

But i found my life again through prayer i gave my life to jesus. I started eating fruits and vegetables i took herbs like ashwagandha, eclipta alba ,evovulus alsinoides which really helps in calming your nervous system .i stopped taking coffee in empty stomach esp in the morning instead i drank warmginger juice , lime , apple cider vinegar with honey These things all helped me out. I've become an introvert and feel physically sick with I have to leave my house or even go to the store. I don't go to family functions because it causes me way too much anxiety. I have been to ER more times than I can count. I went to a heart skipping specialist. He monitored my heart for two weeks. He said my heart misfires in so many different places and sparatic there wasn't anything they could do. I take 100mg of metoprolol everyday it helps with palpitations. Sometimes it will skip several times in a row it causes me to panic more. Everything you're saying makes sense also. Thank you for sharing this information it is great info. Thank you Dr!! You are the best , I started to have anxiety last two weeks ago. And the more I listen to it the more symptoms I was getting. I was feeling scared to drive to work and that scared me, as I felt fear the following days when I got up I was already feeling the fear of driving. It was horrible to feel like I could drive and looking at all the cars around me gave me panic. I lasted 2 weeks feeling this way, dizzy, high blood sugar high blood pressure , heart pain so I went to the doctor and he said it was stress. One morning I checked my blood pressure it was normal, I checked my blood sugar it was normal and I checked my oxygen level it was normal so I decided to meditate before I left to work and I told my self NOTHING IS WRONG With me I’m healing so STOP 🛑 this $&@_#% and I got ready to go to work and as I was getting loser to the fwy entrance I was telling my self YOU are healthy and you been driving for 35 years so don’t start and I started to sing a song that was on the radio and that was the end of my anxiety… it’s so true what the doctor said and explained in this video. God bless you doctor 🙏🤗

Just wanna share my opinion cause i got almost every symptoms of this video, and i hope my experience can give some relief to other people like me. Got the first attack 1 month ago with racing heartbeat, palpitations, dizziness of left arm (sometimes both and also neck), chest pain (a fuckin lot), short breath and probably other little things that i don't remember rn. It went on for a week straight, I went to hospital 2 times, thinking i was gonna die for heart problems for all the week..they were the worst days of my life. After i done ECG and echocardiogram i felt some relief, but my mind didn't care..the day after i was already panicking thinking about every disease present on this planet. Then I got blood checked out and everything was fine (just a little value that keeps my head to overthinking about my health..). My medic told me to take some Lexotan but fuck that, luckily i have a family against drugs and i didn't even think about taking that shit (it maybe help u during the day but it won't solve the problem, u'll only become addicted to it). Now it's 1 week that I've started living almost peacefully with my symptoms and they decreased drastically (i still hate palpitations jeeez, and also reflux kicked in). I still have some moments were "anxiety" kicks in pretty hard, but i have my methods now ehehe. If the heart start going crazy i exercise or go for a run, so it will have a reason to go fast lmao. And i noticed that all the moments when I'm not thinking about it (just lately that i feel a little better) my heart usually is at its normal rythm, as soon as I think about it it accelerate af 🙄. I know it feels stupid the first times u hear this, but if u can distract yourself (COMPLETELY) from your symptoms they will go away..if u do it for a long time u probably end up without none of them. My healing process is just started but I'm getting better, after this video i know exactly what to do, go on with my life and every time I feel my heartbeat increasing just accept it, don't think about it, it will go away and won't kill me hahah. I just would have liked to discover this video early, probably i would have been much better now ahaha, stay positive guys, life is good and we need to live it free from anxieties and all the shit that brings with it ❤️ (sry for my English I'm Italian lol, anxiety is all over the world..). Love to everyone who red this till here, you will get better, and that's for sure :)

Some people are sensitive to change. If something is off or out of season it triggers anxiety. I found that out. As well as gaps in the parking lot ..agoraphobia.. bridges..redlights especially at a busy large intersections. After a 14 day virus I got fibromyalgia symptoms and my anxiety skyrocketed. I went to work one Monday and stopped at redlight I was MILLISECONDS from flooring the pedal because it felt like torture to wait. My brain is stuck worrying about going to work and just working. Thank you so much doctor for helping me clean out my subconscious. THANK YOU

I started having panic disorder when I was about 20. I didn't know it for a long time but there's an unbelievable amount of my family members that have it. I used to go to the emergency sometimes because I felt like I was dying, but they never helped. Therapy helped to a degree with some therapists and I've read about it a great deal. An extra problem I've had as well is severe depression. It's been like most of the time one or the other Is prevalent. And I've had blood work done. It really does have alot to do with your thinking. Negative thought blocking helps some. Just gently rejecting negative thoughts by figuratively tossing negative thoughts out of your mind. Staying away from negative people. Exposure to what makes you nervous didn't usually work for me but at the same time it's not good to keep letting your world get smaller and smaller so I work to not let that happen so much. Breathing exercises help sometimes but I think doing them every morning would be better along with your own positive affirmations. I know nutrition and sleep are so important too. I started mediating again and doing breathing exercises. I still feel nervous about traveling far and it sucks because I love to explore new places and meet new people. I do believe the subconscious has alot to do with it and meditation should be able to help with that. It's so complex especially if your dealing with more than one disorder. I would say the panic is the worst because it gets extremely scary but the depression is horrible too sometimes. But being active to work to heal yourself does help things to improve. One thing I've learned is that when I do have an episode I came to realize I let it affected my days following it way too much. I work to try to keep my thinking where I won't let an episode affect me so much beyond the episode. Of course it may not always work but you can improve your life with embracing positivity and taking action. When you start to feel stress you can start practicing calming exercises to deescalate instead of letting it continue to build, and don't give up on trying it because the effort is worth it to help improve your life.

It is so refreshing to hear a Dr. who doesn't just rely on prescriptions. I am repeatedly told to take medications, which do not work. I truly believe the body can heal itself. I have refused several prescriptions and refuse to spend the rest of my life making the drug companies rich. The side effects are often much worse than the original symptoms. Thanks for sharing this important info.

My biggest issue is always checking my breathing and trying to get that satisfaction of a deep breath . I keep focusing on it and it creates anxiety because I cannot get that sensation all the time , also feels like I don’t breathe like I used to like the feeling of breathing is different . Started 6/2020 after a trip to the beach and got sea water in my nose like really bad waves crashed into my nose in my sinuses , drive 5 hours home the drive creates anxiety for me , I got home I was so relieved and happy then all the sudden my breathing was really off and hard to breathe I think my first panic attack and already my sinuses were swollen from the sea water and also seasonal allergies then I believe I had a panic attack I felt short of breath really bad and then heart racing and thoughts racing thinking I was gonna die or something terrible was wrong . I’ve gotten better I don’t deep breathe all the time now and I now know the symptoms again and positively talk myself out of it and think in the moment and not the past not the future . I am obsessive over the breathing still but know I’m breathing fine , also my throat was tight and felt a lump in throat glad that’s gone , then brain fog feeling and feeling out of body or detached from reality and everything else it’s a viscous cycle .

Oh, that’s me, too. Constantly wanting that deep breath, totally obsessed with it. I have to force myself to breathe normally. At least I know I’m not alone... sigh.

I suffered from bad anxiety that started from a random panic attack at restaurant this year in January…. It kept happening when I would go out to restaurants it trickled down into groceries trips and even gym ! I found your video a month ago and I also read a book called DARE and started praying now I’m back to normal sure it spikes up here and there but no where near what was happening to me so thank you 🙏🏼 everyone keep your head up and mind clear as hard as it is…. I had a heart monitor for a whole month only for them to tell me it’s nothing abnormal so I did get cleared for that…. Now I get tingle numbness on arms and chest area but I can shrug it off and keep going due to being cleared and knowing in my mind I’m good to keep going.

I was diagnosed with lupus after years and years of being tested but the blood tests didn't come up with that magic number yet...until one day when it did. I was on all the typical medications from Methotrexate to prednisone. Not too long after I moved to a different state. I was where I wanted to be...away from my stressors and guess what....my levels began to go down. I changed my diet which also helped me. I still have mild inflammation. Prednisone ate my bones and I have huge mobility issues now but I find a way to work around it. I'm a photographer and I can't give it up. It has saved me from myself. I have changed so much in my life for the better and I have accomplished so much!! Anxiety has always been with me. It isn't too much now. I haven't beaten it but I can and do control it. If I can do it....anyone can!!

I SUPER LOVE this video!!! Now forget seeing a Do over panic attacks, and our fight or flight modes. Instead, this video is very well educated and clinical!!! Very well done!!! As a person who suffers with anxiety 24/7 , this was REALLY uplifting!!! Because there was (still is) times where I catch myself over thinking, or over reacting by saying, "Oh I'm gonna die!!" Or "I need to go to the ER!!" I'm not gonna lie here, but before watching this, I thought I was having a heart attack when I started to realize that it's just my brain. It's the stress hormones that my body is fighting against. Having all these details put out, this video has released A WHOLE TON OF my stress toxins just by listening to each word and focusing. And once again, very well done!!!
