Quick question, can you reccomend a company to install solar panels on a camper, I'm considering it, we have a split relay charger and 2 lesiure batteries with Hook up, but I'm thinking solar might be handy, no more than 200watts, any tips and prices? Thanks
@ShaneandAneVanLife Жыл бұрын
Hey Cathal, Solar is very easy installed. If you are anyway electricaly minded its possible to fit them yourself. We fitted ours ourelf. We have fitted the Ecoworthy solar panels to both our vans. You can get them in Amazon. We think they are very good for the price. They keep our batteries always charged up.

Hi, loving the videos, kerp up the great work!! Question! Do you worry about the consequences of a crash, in terms of the furniture etc rushing/moving forward into the cabin in the event of a rear ending accident or a forward collision, how are they secured to avoid that?
@ShaneandAneVanLife Жыл бұрын
Hey Cathal thanks for your comment:) Everything is fixed to multiple points in the van for example the kitchen units are secured at the back and at the bottom. Similarly the over head units are secured to the back and the top. Unfortunately we did get into an accident in our T25 van and luckily e ough nothing moved :)

As you have gone to such length and expense on building and fitting out the van i fail to understand why you did not go with a b2b and mppt chargers for your leisure batteries when the extra cost would be minimum on what you have already spent on kitting out the van
@ShaneandAneVanLife Жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for the comment. We have used the same method in our other van and seems to work well for what we need. But will take it on board and consider it for our next build.
@clarkspiemuncher24 Жыл бұрын
@@ShaneandAneVanLife id take it on board now and retrofit the items to your current van as the products will help charge your batteries a lot quicker and keep them in a healthier state for a lot longer. the split charge relay along with pwm only charge your batteries to 80% and then just trickle charge them which means they are never fully charged and you never get the full use of your batteries and they deteriorate a lot quicker which costs you a lot more money in the long run for the sake of £200 to £300. split charge is like running a paraffin lamp when electricity has been invented
