I didn't mention the measurement of the elastic I used because everyone's measurement is different. To know the measurement to use, measure your upper bust and minus 1 and half inches. whatever measurement you get is what you will use for your elastic.

I love this tutorial alot, you make it easy to understand.I have a question please?If i want a maxi dress,will i still use my upperbust measurements to achieve the design or will i use my hip measurent?Thank you

Thank you. I'm glad you like it. Yes, if you're sewing a maxi dress you want to use the measurement of the widest part of your body. Either your bust or your hips.
