I realize this video is 3 years ago but I’m confused about where to measure from when you measure 2 inches from the center line? It’s about 4 minutes and 11 seconds into the video. Thanks. Did you ever start your online classes?

Thanks for watching. Yes, you are correct. The 2 inches is from the center line. Not at all, I didn’t get to starting the online classes. (Life took over 😊). Hopefully soon. It’s still a goal for me. Thanks for asking.

@@CocoziniDIYI'm sorry, I don't understand. You said it was on the fold. Is it 1 or 2 pieces of fabric? Are there one or 2 folds. I'm thinking fold the long way and then fold in half. There will then be a fold at the bottom and the left side, salvage on right and raw edge at the top. Am I correct?

@@sassys1240 I hope I’m able to explain it properly. I have one folded fabric for the front and then after cutting it I placed it on another folded fabric to cut the back. Because I don’t have enough fabric, I was only working with what I have, so if you have enough fabric depending on the length you want, you can fold it anyway if you’re using cotton. For me I folded it with the selvage edges at the top and bottom as shown in the video, so it allows me to accommodate the knee length and still have a bit fabric left over. My fabric is 44” long selvage to selvage. For me to fold it that way, I measured the biggest part of my body which is my hips. Then I divided it by 2 and added 5 to 6 inches extra. Example if your hips is 44” divided by 2 = 22” then add 6” = 28”. Which means 28” is the width of the fabric when it is folded. I hope it helps.
