Just back home from the hospital. Nothing to do but lay around. Watching more of your videos. Looked like a nice peaceful time. Wish I was there rather than stuck here. Wow your fishing in a winter wonderland. I live in NW AL and fishing has been tough. Really windy days and water temps around 47 degrees F. I'm just ready for a couple of weeks of warmer weather without the wind. 👊👍

Crappie the one fish I don't often catch. The plastics you are using though look good and obviously work. But for the price I'm gonna give them a try. It's almost all ice fishing for me this time of year so they'll work perfect for that. I'm enjoying the relaxed vibe of your videos as well

I always hammer them in there in the Winter (icefishing). No ice this year so I bought a little John boat just to get out there. And didn't catch a single one. Not sure if I need to try some shallow water or what?

Do u have a guesstimate on the water temp? And is that normal behavior to be shallow in winter? In my neck of the woods they tend to go deep and not get back into the shallows until spring.

Guess on water temp would be upper 40’s. This being a power plant lake and having a warm water discharge up current from the location I was fishing is why they are shallow. Thanks for watching. Hope you consider subscribing.

Because I live in Toledo Ohio our water freeze around in December right now today is November 27 our water still open right now our water temperature is 39° can I still catch crappies in our River at a marina where I fish at our Marina docks is around 10 feet can I still catch them why the water temperature 39°

Actually, you don’t. That’s a 7’6” rod. Now there are long rods but I don’t generally use them. Long rods are most typically used for vertical jigging or spider rigging from a boat.

Any of the power plant lakes around here hold fish in the winter. Just check the public access closest to the warm water discharge. Google earth is a great way to locate those.

Of course I knew things about that spot. That’s part of fishing. Locating specific locations that hold fish. Then it’s figuring out what bait will trigger a bite. I fish new locations regularly as well, to further my knowledge on the bodies of water I fish.
