I let go of xmas shopping more than 10 years ago and give some small thing supplied by a black owned establishment for Kwanzaa. I do love the give an experience idea.

I shop in my closets...stuff I forgot about. I also ask myself with a purchase if it's a want or a need. Wants are fine if there are deals and if useful..not just decorative.

Hey, there I keep missing your live. I was watching the Day 7 (yesterday) when I got the notification and you had just finished. 😥 I hope to do better next week. It is the last week of school. I am only 191 days from departure (or less) cause I have not bought a ticket yet) but I have a house sit booked in England that week. So It's GO time with with the budget and the elimination of debt.

Glad your doing well from the earthquake. I just do holiday food. I don't decorate. I'm not a fan of holiday consumerism. I'm lucky in that my friends and I don't do gifts and I don't have kids. So I really don't need to shop. I just use the sales to stock up pet supplies.

I’ve never been a gift giver. But if I was, I would set my limit, put everyone’s names in a hat & draw names for myself. I would limit myself to two names (to allot for twins), & whoever gets gifts this year doesn’t go in the raffle for next year.
