Some people have to do other things that some people don’t have to do, which takes longer. Everyone’s hair is different. So yes, it doesn’t HAVE to be all day, but if you have to take those extra steps for healthy hair it can be time consuming.

Izuku Midoriya Tea cause I do 3 steps for the actual washing process but it takes forever to detangle my hair because not only do I have low porosity hair but my hair likes to hold onto tangles near my roots and shed hairs. Plus I have a lot of hair and it’s long, so the process is way more time consuming for me than it is for others Ik who have the same/ similar hair texture as me but different porosity and density. It takes me a good hour and a half to 2hrs to wash my hair and that’s on a good day. If I wait too long, wash day is hell.

I agree. Some people like the long drawn out routines but I can’t be bothered with it. I time myself and it usually takes 1-2 hours from when I start washing to finishing my styling. I detangle a day or two before I wash my hair as well

@@izukumidoriya1038 I do agree that some need extra steps but all day is still a really long time for most ppl. Often ppl are doing extra things that they think are "healthy" when it's actually unnecessary

@@kaylanatasha13 I would squeeze out the hair so there’s room for the leave in conditioner to penetrate the strands, although I’m assuming the original commenter suggested to do it in the shower because your follicles will be open due to the warm water if you have low porosity hair. Instead of having that change in temperature once you’ve left the shower. I hope this helps.

First, thank you so much for watching! Second, I never heard that but it’s so strange lol. I actually hate detangling on dry hair. I feel like I can literally feel/hear my strands breaking off. Kind of makes me cringe haha! Maybe they mean making sure your hair is damp but I feel like when it’s drenched, I just get the best results. Who knows lol. This is so helpful considering that I have the sane hair type and it’s so hard to find people with my hair type for no reason at all✋🏾🤦🏾‍♀️ so thank you for this? Quick question: do you have low porosity? Are your products good for people who have low porosity?
@kaylanatasha13

Hey girl! Thanks for watching. So yes, I do have low porosity hair but the products I use aren’t necessarily for low porosity hair. So for example I’ve heard that low porosity should use thinner moisturizer but I actually prefer thicker moisturizers for my hair. I guess it all depends what works best for your hair but you definitely have to try both before you can make that determination. I hope this helps!

Wow that’s great that you’re starting that early! For me, I would say I started doing my own hair in high school but at that time I actually had a perm so a much different routine. I’ve been natural for maybe 9 years now but I didn’t know how to properly take care of my hair until probably 3 years ago. I think the fact that you’re doing this routine already is a great start/foundation though!

@kaylanatasha13
@kaylanatasha13 3 жыл бұрын
Be sure to use water based leave in conditioners. It might not be that your scalp needs moisture, though. It could be a dandruff problem ? Going to a dermatologist is always helpful if it’s severe. They could prescribe you something. Or you could try this medicated shampoo by neutrogena called Tgel. Hope this helps!
