Great routine! Simple is usually best.👍💜 My regimen is different but simple and also doesn't take much time. I hop in the shower and rinse all product off of my hair. Then I shampoo twice, and after the second rinse, I add my conditioner and cover my hair with a plastic cap and a turbie towel or a hot head that I warmed up before getting in the shower if I'm deep conditioning. I take care of my body. After that, I section in quadrants and detangle my hair, rinse, and add my botanical gel and a little mousse and I'm done in the shower. This takes about 20 - 25min. Once I'm out and dry I diffuse my hair dry. I shampoo and style twice a week.

Pretty much same as mine. I am so happy that you find simple regimen easy to manage our natural hair. But hold up? You shampoo twice a week? That’s a lot! How does your hair respond? Once a week is still a lot for me. I want to try once a month and see how my hair responds.

@@BarbaraBirungiSunflower My hair is great! It's very moisturized and healthy. Honestly, shampooing more frequently I have fewer tangles and less shedding. I was diagnosed with CCCA in Dec '22 and must use medication on my scalp daily so I need to shampoo frequently. Luckily I was already shampooing every 5days because of my itchy oily scalp so it isn't much different now that I have to do it twice a week.

I really want to start my journey of keeping natural hair without adding braids this year..which simple products can I start with.. you inspire me alot🥰🥰
@BarbaraBirungiSunflower Жыл бұрын
Great idea. Mini braids or medium braids using my own hair have helped me a lot over the years to achieve the length of hair I have. I rarely put extensions in my hair. As for products, I would recommend for you to not focus so much on products but the technique of growing natural hair. If you wash my videos, I use simple cheap hair products as long as they are natural I am good. So try and find what works for your hair or you can watch some of my videos and see some examples of products I use but I wouldn’t guarantee they will work for everybody so no expectations. Check those videos out and see what is available in stores around your area. All the best😍

Thanks for the vid. Quick question tho. My middle hair has refused to grow🥺 I've been doing nothing serious with my hair so far, and the back and front have grown effortlessly - averagely 12+ inches in 4 years (with no effort), but the middle hair has remained same length since two years ago, say 8 inches. Is there anything I can do about this, or it's my destiny 😭😭😭???

Has your hair always been thick? I just wash my hair section it in six platts i put my shampoo in i wash it twice is that african pride good for 4c hair? I then put a conditioner on for an hour rinse once iv waahed it out i put a leave in conditioner on i do spray water on my hair in section becouse my hair is low prosity hair ii finger comb it or i use my wooden comb which iv seen you use i massage my scalp then i use coconut butter on my hair at the moments its in box braids iv been spraying my clove spray which smells great
@BarbaraBirungiSunflower Жыл бұрын
No. My hair has not always been thick. I do have thin strands and it’s low porosity. I have had to do a couple of things differently to achieve this thickness on my hair. I think you have a great routine. Keep doing that and your hair will thicken especially with cloves

Especially when your experience dryness, this method is brilliant. It brings back all the moisture loss so that’s why I wanted to share because these days I am suffering from extreme dryness so anything to get back the moisture I am doing.
