You should display the water level with one decimal point, that would make it a bit more visual when you empty the tank. Great video though!

I have also made and working fine, the issue is in due course of time, water vapours starts accumulating and spoils my ultrasonic sensors, any idea to make it concealed or escape from water vapour..?

Use ultrasonic sensors taken from a car parking system. They are waterproof.

+Jeff Lane inkpen check out any basic ultrasonic rangefinder tutorial for the pi like on Make or Adafruit. It's just testing how far away something is (water) and when it is so far away it triggers an event

If I was to use that sensor for measuring the depth of the fuel tank of a car, would the gasoline steam mess up my sensor readings? Or would it damage it within a few time?

It will dissolve the tranducer(s). The transducer needs to be of a good resistance.

You use moving average calculation? I see that Your ridding are not precise, thats why You r tidings are moves in time. In my last project I use moving average with precise voltage measurement.

Hey you can also use relay circuits only in order to turn off or turn on the pump I have made in which 1st relay was for turning pump on and 2nd was for turning off pump and 3rd was for another special feature actually there was a timer circuit used to turn pump according to depth and volume of tank and coding the aurdino is just😢😢😢😤😤😤😩😩😩 the special feature was that when we are out of town for 3 to 4 days we have a water level indicator which actives the timer circuit according to amount of water in tank and I got first prize for that in the state science exhibition you also try to contact me if you want and also ask me about thay
