Shot 83 today thanks to Jess's skilled teaching. I recently replaced my 3 wood with a 4 wood at 16.5 degrees. It's a whole lot easier to hit and seems to go just about as far since I hit it well more often. Great video coach.

Excellent tips on hitting the 3 wood Jess! For awhile there, I was struggling with all of my fairway woods. I was attributing this to the wrong ball position. When I found the proper ball position, my problems went away. I still utilize the tip from one of your videos for creating width in the swing. I think about this every time I set up now. It has definitely created a more powerful swing. Always learn from your videos Jess! Keep up the good work!!!

Jess - Watched this video last night. Today I was hitting a few wedges with real golf balls and remembered "hit the bottom of the ball." Immediately made much better contact with my pitching wedge and started taking mini divots. Also nice contact with the 6 iron and 4 hybrid. I'll try the 3 wood another day when it warms up here in NY. Mike (D.U.I Merry Go Around). See you in June.

Thanks for the tip. I was hitting off a tee in my last practice session, and the guy behind me was losing his mind. I spent the entire last half of my practice time getting heckled by the jerk for using a tee XD!!! So go at the risk of being ridiculed I guess... but I agree, using a tee takes a lot of pressure off of poor contact and allows you to get comfortable with new change. I wish more people would take such a humble approach.

My problem. Yes something's topping the ball but most times not getting good contact. I noticed in your video it looks like you have some (not a lot), of forward shaft lean at contact. Should I try this to help better contact?
@JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton2 жыл бұрын
Yes this would help you Dennis.

We’re do you place the ball like a driver or a iron
@JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton2 жыл бұрын
1 ball back from the left shoulder for a driver and 3 balls back for the iron.
