How do you take off the lid and motor to begin with? Some of us ladies may be widows missing their husband taking care of the repairs so a step by step would be most helpful 🙏🏻

Good question. But, please stop saying such excuse re: 'husband taking care of the repairs'. Both genders are capable of such repair attempts. Just needing time, research, & to do mentality. Same thing for men making excuse to taking care of kids. Both are capable to do repairs, nourishing kids, cook, etc.

The screws are in the back of the second lid 4 of them but putting it back together is a nifty thing it can be a bully not been at the motor just cleaning was enough the creaking sound of the lid is gone now and a bit of teflon helpt.

Might be a bit late for you but they go on the lid, the spring holders sit on them.

I got the motor out of my trash bin but I'm not sure how to separate it. How did you get the motor detached from the half that opens the lid?
