I could have used a Coolify today when watering my gardens. My husband is 72 and had knee surgery, so he can't help me water. I passed out and then woke up, I couldn't stand up, my legs wouldn't work. I crawled to a shade tree and ran water on my head. And then I drank water from the water hose. When my legs started to work, I made it back into the house with a massive headache. My husband doesn't know this happened to me. When I cooled down, I took a cool shower. I feel okay now. Tomorrow, when I go outside to water my gardens, I will make sure I'm hydrated. When you are 70, it doesn't take much to take you down. You guys are doing a great job, so don't worry about any negative words you get. You have a beautiful and moral family. My God, keep on blessing you and keeping you safe and healthy. 🙏🏽 ❤❤

no for all people that are talking out there butt , I am carpenter and Mel and Gray want to use screw and they should so stop giving them a bad time about nail or screws Trust me I have built many home and most of what we used was screws not because they are cheaper , they are better and for those who are not a trained carpenter shut up because Mel and Gary know a few carpenters as well as me and if they had question they would ask lol sorry Mel and Gray to blow up but I hate want to be people who think they know something

I don't believe you've built many home as you say and who's this Gray person you're talking about? 😂 I know Gary on here but don't know who GRAY is. I am an experienced trained carpenter who's built many Homes not Home at one time so why do I or other experienced carpenters need to shut up ?

I also spent two summers climbing up & down a two story ladder to paint my 4200 squat foot home all by myself and got-er-done. And have you, I did this in my 40's & 50's. I applaud you Mel for conquerig your fears and even more for knowing your limits, I know what is like.

Wow Gary and Melanie you guys have a GREAT MARRIGE AND FAMILY!!! The way you work together and the cooperation and concern and consideration you have for each other is inspirational. May I point out something in particular about Melanie's great attitude in helping her husband Gary that is rarely seen in my life of being 65 years old now, is the fact she is a Fully Commited helpmate and trust Gary, and Gary has her saftey and considers her ability and being physically weaker than he is in doing all this work, that has some Biblical aspects of what a marriage should be!!! I dont know if you guys are believers in Jesus Christ or not, but I encourage you both to investigate what the Bible says about marriage in Ephesians chapter 5, but not only that but the rest of what the Bible says about salvation through Jesus Christ which is the MOST IMPORTANT THING IN LIFE!!! I Hope and Pray that God will help you guys realize that most important thing!!!😊😊😊❤❤❤

Confidence level: I am just thinking of the first few videos I watched of you doing the framing of the footings and eventual "first" pouring of the footings and the aftermath of the same and the level of confidence with which you are tackling the somewhat involved roof structure over your deck - - - - - - - what an amazing level of confidence, knowledge, thinking through and seeing the future tasks to be completed and all come to a fantastic ending result. My hat off to the two of you! How you have grown! Congratulations!!

More hands? That’s what clamps would help with. I have used sash clamps to pull beams into place, much like what you were trying to do, alone, and I got it done. I used a couple and snuck the beam into location. Mel, don’t feel too bad about being unable to get that driver quote right at that awkward angle. If approached off an extension ladder on the outside, you would have succeeded, though it’s a scary height for you. Hey Gary, following on from your nails screws comment, you used those smooth things on three fly rafter set up, screws would have been great with some nails. When I watch these I just want to get in and help, but I see these after the fact, so even my suggestions are late, such is this scenario. You guys are getting it done, great effort.

Well done guys - so far so good... Gary, you need a cap like the French Foreign Legion have with a material "curtain" that is attached from the brim on one side, around the back to the same position on the other side and hanging down maybe 12 or 15 inches to shade the back of your neck and ears. Maybe get a design together and either sell it as a "sew on" or as a full cap already attached. And the softer the "curtain" material the better so that no chafing happens. Should be a good seller in your merch store,
