Hey Aerial, I’m a window guy, been selling them for 15 years. The green color is from the LowE coating on the inside of the exterior pane of glass, it is vaporized silver and is designed to repel radiant heat back to whichever direction it is coming from, argon gas is clear, and you can’t tell if it’s in a window or not by looking at it, it is added for insulation during times of cold weather because it is inert and much more dense than air so it makes the travel of cold through the glass much more difficult.
