There are very widely different aspects to Auckland. Obviously wealth helps, but not always. North shore is by far the best part of Auckland to live over all. The bay areas of Auckland Central are very good as well. Once you get into the rest are average suburbs, it can be the same as living in any suburb anywhere. However Auckland is very close to coasts always, so you can always drive to the beaches, even if your a few suburbs away.

Actually,my American mate says Auckland is bigger ,in size then NYC, there are more buildings in NYC obviously,but Auckland is a bigger area,according to him,he is a NYC born guy

I was surprised to find out that NYC and London have similar populations but London is twice the size, the population density is double in NYC...and I thought London was crowded!
