stargona I am a Bellarker and I do not hate Echo. I use to dislike her. Actually until this season but the sad thing is they could have had the same character development without putting her in a relationship with Bellamy.

Ellieon ik im not happy about how they developed her off screen and expected us to be chill about it, but people are overreacting. and honestly i think that we're seeing spacekru through clarkes eyes, we saw her throughout the six years and we saw octavia but they didnt show us spacekru. i'm sure that was for a reason. we're uncomfortable about becho because clarke is uncomfortable, we're confused because she is. we want bellamy to go back to clarke because thats what she wants. idk, i feel like that's what they're trying to do here.

Yes about Bellamy and his happiness! I don't like becho either but I love Bellamy so much and I love how he's using the lessons he's learned in the past 4 seasons to become who he is now. I do think Echo as an individual character is just starting to get good so I'm just waiting to see the next episode!

I do not understand the hatred for Echo, I mean, using common sense, right now, is probably the best warrior in general. She still has the skills of before, skills that made her one of the most feared and deadly warriors of Azgeda, has understood what it is to be smarter in the war, has acquired the understanding and empathy of Bellamy, Raven, Monty and the others; I mean, in a nutshell, "the heart and the head."

Logan, I’m not gonna lie, it was a major struggle for me to get through the Bellamy/Echo stuff, so “I think I have eye cancer” was everything I needed, lol. I’m glad you’re not feeling that relationship, either. One of many reasons why you’re one of my favorite reactors. :) I agree that Octavia is lacking in leadership qualities, and I’m really worried about Madi now. I also don’t hold it against Octavia that she hates Echo. She has every reason to. But I do think that Echo is now set up for a potentially interesting storyline now that she’s detached from Bellamy.

To be honest, when Octavia told Echo "You have 24 hours to leave or you fight in the arena" I was like: fight in the freaking arena! Kill some people and be forgiven. It is waay easier than trying to talk to Octavia.

The funniest line was eye cancer. The writers like to play a lot of mind games with those who want Bellarke at the expense of their own show. I agree Octavia is not a leader. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Octavia is super crazy. Bet they will try to justify cannibalism during the dark year. The arena is still a thing bc Bloodreina is a dictator. And yes Miller has issues. And Madi was trying to protect Clarke. Octavia is on the crazy train. The dark year. Two writing copouts would be to kill Echo or to make Bellamy a cheater. Clarke and Bellamy deserve to be together but Echo has been developed. She is an awesome spy. But the writers play so many mind games with Bellarkers. They better use Mc Creary to broker a deal for Raven.

I really appreciate you starting to like Echo...a lot of people can't see her past the relationships she's in that's in the way of their favorite ship. I'm really happy you are not one of those people. Everyone is entitled to their own ship but all the hate Echo sometimes gets is ridiculous. I mean i get why people are still reserved because of her "villain status" in former seasons but a lot of people blatantly ignore her character development that we've been shown this season just to justify their ongoing hatred for her. Don't particularily like the character? cool, but some people need to learn how to dislike a character respectfully imo

I get your point that Octavia is not a good leader, but I would add that she is not a good leader now. In the bunker, Wonkru wouldn't have survived without her, down there and under those circumstances, her way of leading was necessary. But now that they are back on the ground and are dealing with a stronger enemy, Octavia's recklessness and anger is not a positive thing and it is be time that a new leader takes over You can really compare her with Jaha at this point. Because without him, there was no way the people on the ark would have survived In those circumstances you need a kind of leader who will make the hard choices, even if those choices kill many people, because of the greater good (keeping the human race alive) But when they get back to the ground, the circumstances change and a leader then needs a different set of skills

I do not like Bellamy and Echo together. I like Echo now though and her character development is great. It would be a copout if the writers just killed her. But Bellamy with Echo does not make sense.

Great leaders or poor leaders mean nothing trapped in a bunker starving with no plan to get out. You choose the leader that let's you live a little bit longer period and that's Octavias entire mission and she won't let anything stand in the way of that. I understand you don't like her choices, no one should but her priorities are still selfless only to keep her people alive and it's easy to forget that she never chose her circumstances.

if her priority was solely just selfless and to keep her people alive she would just surrender (like Echo said) to get her people to the valley...problem solved. Diyoza made it clear this episode that there is enough space and food for everyone in the valley and she will let them come if they are unarmed because they need their skills. I'm not saying she doesn't want her people to survive. She does want that but another huge part of her motivation seems to be keeping herself in power otherwise she wouldn't want to wage a war and would try to negotiate peacefully with Diyoza. If that doesn't work she has all the right to attack but until then this is all just a huge power play between Dyoza and Octavia.

xoloveleonie_ss Octavia is no position to negotiate cause she has nothing diyoza wants or needs. If Octavia were to surrender now it wouldn't even be considered a defeat it would be annihilation. She would be giving up her people's lives to be at the mercy of a terrorist. These are the kind of people who waste no time putting shock collars on the people that defected to their side. Again she never started the war, she never threatened diyozas people or broke the deal bellamy made. You're confusing her desire to win at any cost for a power play.

i think diyoza made it pretty clear already that she didn't necessarily want a war (she was rageing because that guy shot at octavia and started the war) and Octavia actually is in a postion where she can ebgotiate. Diyoza said that they need their skills, they don't have farmers and engineers and stuff and she doesn't want to annihilate them all otherwise she would have done what McCreary suggested and just shot 2 missiles at them. Octavia could just try to negitiate a deal where her people are allowed to live in the valley in exchange for them shareing thier skills with them. Diyoza isn't a trigger happy dumbass who wants to kill them all. Obviously is that doesn't work then O has every right to go ahead and try to fight them but at this point i would try to negotiate. Her people will starve if they don't get to that valley and if they fight they will lose a lot of people to Diyozas firepower. Like echo said, trying to negotiate and/or surrender is the best option where they could potentially save most of her people.

Punishment for desertion or defection in times of war is severe in the real life not much different in most places around the world. And you don't know any of the ages of the people fighting Kane same way you don't know their crimes. By your logic I could assume Clarke killed far younger kids at Mount weather with radiation poisoning. Not to mention all the other children on the ark that died cause bellamy told everyone to kill their trackers so no would know the planet was livable. Octavias short rule is harsh but she's kids league compared to those 2

Kane is quite interesting this season. He's been gradually developing from season ones "villain" into this very pasifistic person. He seems to be trying to get everyone into the same boat, and i think it might just actually work if they just get rid of Mcreary and take Octavia out of charge. The leader of the prisoners seems very reasonable and is so far one of my most anticipated characters along Echo who seems to be getting set up for a cool storyline now that she is going on her own.

What the hell Octavia, you already have a child to corrupt. Leave Madi alone and concentrate on Ethan lol. This season has completely made me flip flop on characters I love and hate. Niylah can go screw herself for being ok with handing over an innocent child to potentially be killed, and Echo is a certified badass. Also what are the writers even doing with Harper? Give her a proper storyline, make her useful by mastering a skill while she was in space, hell just give her some freaking lines instead of having her standing in the background the entire time. I'm tired of them doing wrong by her.

I am just going to say this...Octavia could have made Kane the leader at 17 she was not ready to lead these people she could have shared leadership with Kane and Jaha. But she was too power hungry. The first 45 days she would not even lead bc she just wanted to be a warrior and didn't want to deal with politics. This got Jaha killed. She should have shared her leadership with Jaha and Kane like the council on the arc but they could have avoided the exodus charter nonsense. Octavia was too morally compromised after the death of Lincoln to lead anyone. Kane knew it that is why he told her a darkness was rising in her after she murdered ambassador Raphael.

I don't think trying to share leadership with Kane or Jaha would have worked, simply because the other clans would have just said she was weak and favoring her "own true clan" the skykru. She NEEDED to be the leader because she won the conclave and that's the only type of power and leadership the grounders understand: strenght. She said time and time again that she didn't want to lead, the she was a warrior (which is the opposite of power hungry), but she was the only one that could unite all the clans. I'm not saying I think her choices are right or that I agree with them. I'm saying that it is unfair to say that she is acting like this because she doesn't want to give away the power. It's because she has been keeping her people alive for more than half a decade and she doesn't believe or trust Diyoza. She is trying to keep her people alive the only way she knows how (she's not making good calls, because she is not cut to be a leader, but this is neither here nor there)...

wow i really did like your reactions, theyre still fun to watch but we just disagree so much... i feel like you're not even trying to understand octavia and what she has been through and why she bacame what she did. and how do you mean they're not traitors? they've been living in that bunker for six years, octavia would do anything for each and every one of them, they all want that valley, they all want that life, those people attacked them, tried to kill octavia two episodes ago. they are all warriors in that bunker and they know everything about octavia and all of them and they're in war. and if you go and be on you enemys side you're not a traitor? what? ... kane is probably not a traitor to wonkru either.. it's okay if they want to go and they want a better life for their people but they're fucking traitors to wonkru. and octavia was pretty smart in this episode, she showed that she can be a leader.
