Also, rewatching this brought back an old question that I had. What would've happened if Elijah pulled the classic "decapitation" instead of heart extraction? Would Marcel's head have magically reattached itself to his body, would his body grow a new head, would the head grow a new body? So many questions. (I know I'm weird, I'm totally okay with that).

"He is so freaking smart. He is the best character on this show. Best. Hands down, not even a question, not even close." YES! Marcel is honestly the best character of this show and one of the bests of the TVDU. Back when the show was airing lots of people hated him for taking the serum but I was so happy because the Mikaelsons honestly deserve it after everything they put EVERYONE through. There's a deleted scene of Freya and Kol talking about Davina and it's mainly why I was able to forgive Freya for last episode (Davina was one of my favorites on the show). But Elijah.... this was the last straw and the reason I could never like him again... Can't wait to see your reaction to the finale and to the rest of the show!

If the last episode was where I first started to hate Elijah, this was the episode that made him irredeemable to me. It's also sad how Klaus, who has had a recent change in his outlook on life (which was over a period of weeks by the show's timeline), kept staying his hand and trying to support Marcel. I know he didn't want to throw Elijah under the bus, but I totally would've pointed out that he was against killing Davina instead of trying to justify it to save face.

For me it already started earlier this season. They way he spoke to Marcel throughout the seasons was so rude. Like he was a servant or something. I didn’t buy that he was “heartbroken” at having to kill Marcel cause none of his actions during the show showed me that he actually cared about Marcel

Michaelson's lived very long enough yet willing to sacrifice a very young girl that their brother Kol only got just to save their own lives which they dont even deserve it like wtf they already lived 100yrs..?!!! Elijah and Freya are the most selfish among them. The two of them know that Davina is Marcel and Kol's treassure... So its all their fault Marcel turns against them yet again Klause took all the suffering for what they did ughh and even dragging Kol to their own doings which his just a victim for what Freya and Elijah did but ended up suffering together with them....
