That is frustrating. Have you made sure your hands are airtight? Also, how you blow the air in is also important so you might want to make minor adjustments until you get a sound

Making sure it’s airtight is key. Also, the example of making a noise with a coke bottle is important. The air should go in and out of the same hole. The smallest adjustments make all the difference. Keep trying, you’ll get it

@@sbeveloaf1120 those are great questions. If you’ve made the shape that I show in the video, you can make sure that your fingers at the top of the whistle are flatter. I would say the opening between your knuckles should be about an inch tall and a quarter inch wide. I’d say it’s totally possible that handshake would make this one hard I do teach another method that help tons of people but I wouldn’t give up on this one quite yet. Also remember that small adjustments and the tilt of your hands can also help get that sound out.

My hands and fingers are sore from practicing the hand whistle for the past few days, lol. I like this version the best! I manage to do it, but not consistently. But can you do the "vibrato" and changing of the pitch with this version, or just the other ways?

You sure can. If you’re holding your hands exactly like I do in the tutorial, try lifting up your left index finger while you blow. That will give you an easy change of pitch 😗

It’s doesn’t have to be too hard. But remember that the air goes in and out of the same hole. Try adjusting the tilt of your knuckles against your lips (meaning lift your hand whistle up slowly as you blow and find the sweet spot)

Sorry to hear it. Yeah, they are different shapes for sure. With this one, if you bring the bottom of your palms together BEFORE you work on the opening it seems to work better. Either way, you can do the other one 😁

Maybe a big mistake people are making is that when you seal the back if your hands are big like mine there will be a small air hole at the base of your palm that the air escapes through once i figured that out i got it

This is similar to getting a noise out of a glass bottle with the air to go in and out of the same hole. If your hands are airtight, you basically want your lips on your knuckles and then you’re blowing onto the knuckles.
