Dividend investing mostly fails if an investor just wants to earn passive income because getting more than 6-7% dividend yield consistently is very difficult. The better idea is to park your 1.5 Cr in any good bank like HDFC as FD and earn 7 % returns annually. Great video btw !! Because many people fall pray to this dividend investing style and later realise that their capital has depreciated more over the period of time than the dividend income which they earned.

Even before I started to watch the video, after looking at the thumbnail I was thinking how much capital are they gonna mention, its definitely gonna be some high capital value. And after watching the complete video, it ended up exactly what I had in mind. Prateek sir said it requires a very high capital and even then the returns aren't guaranteed. This is why I like this channel very much and follow it, it gives the sense of reality. The pros and most importantly explains the risk involved in simple terms. Dividends are extremely valuable. If you are trading and making profit, then dividends give you extra money which doesn't hurt at all. We don't need to have 1.5 cr, for most people it is not possible, beyond our reach. That amount is to get a regular income from dividends. But if you want to make some extra money then you can do it with 3 lakhs too. Besides we dont have to invest in dividend stocks all at once. We can do it one a time when they announce record date for that particular dividend stock . one at a time.
