I think what this demo kinda lacks is a Band context. I think this is where the pedal will shine! The 2 weeks that I got it I more and more get what it does and it’s amazing! It is not that kind of pedal that will make your sound ultra fat and boomy, but the complete opposite. I think if you have the expectation that it will barely alter your sound and let’s you just use the EQ you will be disappointed. This unit is made for a band context. It’s just awesome what it does with my Lakland 55-60(J-Bass style) especially with an Overdrive before it!

nice demo, does both DI out and Di parallel go to interface line inputs, user manual does not explain very well output connections

I'm a preamp freak and I own more than a few.There are a lot to choose from so do some homework and pick a winner.Find one that emulates the tone stack you prefer and the features you need.Don't base it on price alone.A quality preamp will last you for years.

@@kevmac1230 I'd love to pick your brain if you got time. Primarily I'm looking for a clean preamp (preferably no overdrive or distortion) that I can sculpt various tones with. Bonus points if it has headphone jack and/or parallel input/output so I can split the signal into my audio interface. Before finding this preamp, I was looking hard into the Mesa Subway di Plus it has a great quality tone that reminds me a little bit of the noble di but at half the price. Do you have any recommendations?

@@andrewcasey7023 Exact same thing here. I am looking for a clean channel only preamp with sweepable mid, I am looking at Mesa Subway and Nordstrand Starlifter, but now this Simplifier Bass Station has piqued my interest.

@@andrewcasey7023 Master Effects of Canada makes great bass preamps.He models classic amps and mostly nails it.I have his take on the GK 800 RB and of course it has very good clean tones plus it hits the Rails tone,check out the deluxe version.I also have his Super. 300 SVT in a box .Go on the site.I have the 2 Notes Le Bass,it's capable of lots of what you're looking for and it has a 12 AX7 tube. I recently bought the Origin Effects Bassrigs 64' a rendition of old Fender amps,and it sounds fantastic. But it's 500 bucks and worth every penny. Of course we're living in a Golden Age for bass preamps.Sushi Box is another great small batch company. Look around on searches and you'll find more

Good lord. That part where he splits the signal and uses a looper makes my brain hurt. Way too complicated for me. I can't imagine how many things this little box can do.

@kevmac12302 жыл бұрын
@@pstrokeslibsarctic It seem to be very well made.The electronics and wiring are very neat.Every feature works and for the price I would say it's definitely a good deal.I love bass preamps and own many including some top names.I bought this mainly out of curiosity.I plan on selling it as it's redundant for me.But if someone needs a bass preamp with many useful features and is short on cash I say yeah.

Sure looks complicated for a thing named “simplifier”. I’m still interested but I’m waiting to hear a sound I like. So far I haven’t.

Good utility for the small size but seems limited to certain genres. The frequencies you boosted in the demo would be EQ'ed away by the sound engineer for clashing with the guitar frequencies(it sounds good on its own). It seems to be more suited towards a Stingray/bright punchy jazz bass aggressive type of playing/sound rather than a vintage/old school sound.
@OttoStranger4 жыл бұрын
How dare you say that this things limited 😳 no man! You can dial whatever sound you want with this thing it has it all concerning sound shaping analog svt preamp with 3 band EQ and parametric mids a parallel signal routing with lpf , cab simulation with tons of sound shaping too and last but not least dual fx loop! If that's limited to you.... Oh I guess I'll just shut up
