There's probably loads of stuff you saw that I missed, like much if the stuff on our stand. 🤣🤣🤣 As for the venue itself, I had half an hour at the end of the day in the museum but that was all and was the third to last car to leave. 😅 I keep saying I need to attend one of these and not film at some point. Maybe next year's AGM.🤔

Likewise and not a problem. I think we managed to have a good chat under the circumstances. I always find that with so many people to talk with and so many cars to film it's very difficult to actually get around sometimes. 😅

Thank you. The only problem is I can obsess for so long over an intro that it takes me far too long to edit the video. 😅 I think that it's worth the effort though.

Thank you Phil. Took me a little longer than planned to get this one out but I didn't want to compromise on the finished video. It's a Shane we didn't have a dryer morning but I still managed to get a few cars in. 😅 I'm making a start on part two this morning featuring french camper vans.

Very, very well filmed Mark, great mix of cars covered. Loved the MK1 Twingo, they're so appealing, more so than the versions that followed. I didn't know much about the quirky Matra and I think I've only seen one at the Bicester Scramble so that was really interesting too.

Thanks Simon. Yes the MK1 Twingo really was an innovative little mono box in a class of its own. The MK2 seemed to loose some of the charm. It was nice to see an earlier Matra from my favourite era of mid engine cars.

A beautiful SM at the start, I can only wonder what people back when these were launched thought of what they looked like. Always liked the Peugeot Rallye Range something about them on White Steel Wheels. A Dimma 205 was the first cover car on the very first edition of Max Power back in 1993 (not that I was buying Max Power back then) and was also the last cover car on the very last edition of Max Power in 2011. You never see bright coloured cars nowadays especially like the variety on the Twingo. Really liked that Renault Van on the club stand you were on. Cannot remember the last time I seen a Laguna Estate, but that was a lovely example. Your Mégane is looking mega clean really stood out on the stand. There is a Renault Frigate near my aunt and uncles house, not in as great condition as the one shown here, may have to stop and see if I can get a pic one day. A brilliant first part Mark really enjoyable and love your knowledge on all things French especially Renault. Looking forward to Part 2 Mark.

Thanks Davy. You will be seeing more of that Estafette in part two. The max power days spawned all sorts of aftermarket mods but the Dimma cars were the real deal. Agree that SM (and probably the CX) must have looked so futuristic at launch. There were lots of small special editions I'm the 90's with bright paint and bright upholstery but the early MK1 Twingo all had that special fun look.

Thank you. Sorry I don't believe I did get your car. Sadly I learned a long time ago that it's near impossible to feature every car so rather than trying to cram every car in I tend to focus more time on less cars. Great to hear that you enjoyed the video, there are plenty more french car event video in the channel too. Hopefully I'll see you at another event in future so feel free to come and say hello. *Out of interest, was it you that I was speaking to when sheltering from the rain between the Twingo's and main parking area?
