Simply Listed Sku Linking Full Tutorial

Take my money! Lol! When I first started my POD shop in 2020, I quickly listed on Etsy with templates (saved a lot of time) and didn't sync unless I got a sale. Now I have hundreds of unsynced items which is a nightmare and has cost me money with mistakes. Unlike Printful, there is no way to reverse sync anything without resetting your url and losing all of your built up sales and reviews. THANK YOU Cassiy!!! This is a dream come true! Thanks to this feature I'll finally get to automate my shop!

Hi, I have a question. You mentioned it only works with one design, but what if it’s the same design with added personalization, like including an individual name? Like Mama, Dad, ect.

It can only pull one design total from Printify at this time so it won't be able to pull multiple variations of a design with different names like that. But it could say like "Custom name" or "your name here" and if they all look the same then yes that works. Then the customer would put each custom name in the personalized box

After using this for several days (and really like what you've done), I think it could improve if there were checkboxes in the template column. We wouldn't need to make as many templates to use different colors if we can make one primary template and select which mockups to use by checking a box. The app could loop through the column and only make a mockup for the items that have the checkbox checked.

Hey I really appreciate the feedback! I was really hoping to make it completely automated so that you didn't need to select anything when it was time to make the mockups. I typically just use the exact same colors over and over and over in every listing except for holidays, then I make a different template for those ones. Are you finding that you are offering different colors super often in each listing? In the meantime, you can always have it make all the mockups in a template and then delete the ones you don't want to use when you get to Etsy. Hope you are loving it outside of that!

Love this cassiy! What a brilliant tool! What about if you have existing family listings already, that have been labelled differently? Can you use this tool to match SKUs ?

As long as the variation name has the word "Size" or "Sizes" in it and the sizes themselves match Printify like "S" instead of "Small", then yes! But if not then it may work and just not be as simple, you might just have to manually match up some of the variations yourself but it's not bad. Or you could edit the variations in an existing listing to meet these changes, whichever works better for you! If you try it out and have any trouble then let me know and I can probably better help you find a work around for how yours are set up specifically!

Hi Cassiy! Love this software so far! Quick question... so if I create a design that I know I want to sell on 3001, 1566, etc. Is it better to save as draft in printify, or publish to etsy draft first?

If you are doing a multi item listing like this where you are combining variants into one, then you only need to save them as a draft. No need to publish them to Etsy! So here are the steps 1. Make your listing template once in Etsy with all variations colors/sizes and save as a draft 2. When you're ready to make a new listing, Copy your Etsy listing template and edit for anything you might have changed about this listing, add title, mockups, tags etc. 3. Add your designs to Printify and save as a draft 4. Come to Simply Listed and connect the two Done!!

What If it is the same products? Like multiple Shirts in one Listing?

Right now the sku linking only works for if it's one design on multiple different products, but we are working on the next version already for other scenarios like different sayings on the same type of shirt for example. So hopefully we will be releasing that within the next few weeks to a month if testing it goes well!

I have been doing this manually and this is such an amazing time-saving tool (especially getting the colors turned off). Isn't there a limit to the number of variations that ETSY allows? What happens if we go over that limit--what will simplylisted do?

So you have to have the template created in the first place and then connect Simply Listed too it, it won't add any colors or options that aren't already added but it will turn off the ones that don't apply! Hope that makes sense and I hope you enjoy checking it out!!

How do you do the mockups for multiple Listings? Btw. Is it possible to just create mockups and just download them? For example when you use the tool but you sell on shopify. Will the mockup tool also work on other Images or do they have to be canva mockups?

Right now there is a workaround where if you are making mockups for a multi product listing like family shirts for example, you can make a template for one of the products and then add photos of all of the product types. But in the next week or so we are releasing a custom version of our mockup software that will allow you to make templates for any products, printify or not, and this will be especially helpful for group listings! So stay tuned for some new tutorials on this feature as it will be a lot more flexible if you are doing matching shirt sets! You can just download the images instead of publishing them to Etsy if you are using Shopify! There is a bulk download them all feature after you make all of the mockups and the images will be in separate zip files for each design. Then we are going to be integrating with Shopify in the future as well so eventually you will be able to publish to Shopify from our platform. You can use any flat mockups with our software, just not smart mockups.

Hello Cassiy! Question please. I am doing more and more multi-product listings. When I do them I typically include mockups from a few of the products within the same listing. Example - a bella 3001 mockup, a Gildan 18000 mockup, a Gildan 18500 mockup all within the same listing. It seems like you have an amazing sku linking feature (really cool!) that solves a real struggle for multi-product listing but I wanted to confirm something about the mockup template design stage of your app. It seems like the mockup template itself can only be one product. Is that correct? If yes, would the correct process be that I still need to create my mockups as I normally do (Canva and load to Etsy) and then I would use the sku linking feature of your app, but I cannot at this time create mockup templates in your software that create the mockups for a multi-product listing. Just checking if I understand the feature functions correctly for this type of scenario. Thanks!

Hi Elizabeth, so yes at this time technically you cannot create mockups for multi item listings, there is a work around though. If the design is the same on all products, then we can make a template for just the adult shirt but add photos of all of the other items as well like kids shirts/sweatshirts etc. Then when you add your design to that template, it will add the design to all of the products! You just can't upload this directly to Etsy, you will need to hit the three dots on those mockups in the approval queue and download them to your computer, and then delete them from the approval queue! let me know if you have any issues with this process and I'll make a youtube video soon showing this process as well!

Right now the way it's set up, it might even work with wall art already. It just has a few rules in place like one of the variant names needs to be size or sizes and the actually sizes need to match exactly what Printify says for the size. Which wall art prodcuts are you selling on printify? I'll see if I can run a test!

Quick question, I typically have the saved templates saved in my draft on Etsy BUT I’ve always put the size first and then the description. Does it matter? Or does the description have to come first? Ex: S Unisex T-Shirt

Hello! So it will work if you have the size first but it won't abbreviate it like in my video, you would then have to select each size S, M, L etc as it picks up the first word. But that's a good point that some people do the opposite, so I will look into fixing this!
