Sorry to say, but somehow it does not work for me. I had a problem with mods before, nothing worked, so I deleted everything, reainstalled the game and I am trying it anew. I downloaded a .pak mod for more bases and pals (updated), downloaded the pak file, created the ~mod folder where it says, put the pak file in there, but I still do not have in my SP game. What am I doing wrong? Since nothing worked before and neither is now, I feel like I am missing some ingame button for "allow mods" option or something in that sense, but I did not find any.

You don't need to extract files, at least not with WinRAR. I'm not certain about other programs, but with WinRAR, click the downloads icon in your browser and select 'open file'. If it asks you to choose a program, select WinRAR. You can set it as the default if you wish, and you'll have the files you need. Sometimes it depends on the mod author when you open the file it will say mod/mods just open it and move the pak file or folder named after the mod where it needs to go.

I suggest you stand with a smaller amount of mods cause the more mods you have the more likely your games will crash

How does playing with mods installed affect trying to play on vanilla servers? Are there some mods that are clientside only and won't affect connecting? I presume having something like 'more carry weight' installed will cause a problem joining a vanilla server. But maybe map unlock wouldn't...?

i installed the ue4ss 3.0.0 and each time i try load the game it crashes, it's the only thing i have installed regarding mods as it was crashing before so i removed everything did a clean install to add mods one by one to see if i could find the problem.

So I tried to install some mods and I got something that read: "Failed to open descriptor file ../../../Pal/Paluproject" can you help me out please. Edit: So I did a fresh reinstall and put everything in the right location this time. I can’t get the bigger base radius mod to work. I’ve managed to get the oak analyser and the iv moss to work but struggling with this the base radius one.

Every mod you download needs to get dragged into the correct folder/section for it to work

Yeah i understand that much, but just to be more clear I am trying to use the play as Zoe mod, i look at the instructions and it looks simple enough, it makes it seem like all i have to do is download and put it in the folder. When i go to my downloads its just the one file, nothing needs unzipped or anything. I drag it to the ~mods folder and thats it but npthing happens, there has to be a step not explained on the tutorial for the mod.

Most mods don't work on dedicated servers. Instead most work on single player only.

It works, but my luck for mods seems to be at it's finest, after trying to install pal radar minimap the frames plummeted to nothing. At least new soundtrack and lunaris skin works fine.

I got the problem that after i installed the UE4SS that whenever there is a xinput1_3.dll in my game folder the game crashes 1 sec after it boots up. It doesnt matter which mod i choose or how many as soon as i install any mod i cant run the game. Can you help me? Ps. I already changed the UE4SS- settings to false.

You would have to delete the xinput file when you download the UE4SS 3.0 file
