@Quandry14 жыл бұрын
It's a glitch that when it comes time somebody will refine again and again and again. They'll find ways to set up to the texture or something faster. Or an angle to jump from one place to another that makes something else more consistant. There is a lot of precision in runs today that just didn't exist back then that some of these old tricks got neglected for a long time. And Mario64 isn't the only game that's had tricks like this that were much older than their regular implementation.

Blast away the wall was one of the only stars I never figured out when I was a youngun. You can see that there's a little seam between it and the rest of the wall but it's hard to see and unless you knew you could blast it away, you'd probably not see it or you'd overlook it. But it's cool because the inconspicuousness of that one part of one wall in the stage makes it satisfying if you figured it out on your own. It's like secrets in the og zelda or super metroid where you just have to hear about it or stumble upon it. Or if you figured out that blast means using a cannon, you could cannon yourself into every section of wall that you can until you solve it
