I do love your videos Renee but I would put annotations when you say 'disappear for 3 weeks or just disappear' add what i assume you meant from SOCIAL MEDIA. I know a lot of youngsters going missing in my local area 'and they may interpret you meaning to disappear as in run away'. It worries me that people will see this and not realise the impact if they disappeared as they were given positive opinions that it is ok to disappear. Thank you for reading :)

I had the same realization lately about being in the victim mentality and how much it was preventing me from feeling gratitude / taking accountability for my circumstances. I think media consumption encourages this now more than ever by highlighting other people's lives in our face everyday all while keeping us distracted and procrastinating from taking action in our own. I was actually searching for the antonym for victim the other day and I love yours. Absolutely relate to the in-between season as well. It's really just about being at peace with holding space for what life has in store next.

Hey Renee. You won't probably see this or care if you do. But I live in Iran, arguably one of the worst places a person can live in this world. I constantly fear for my freedom, I am not free to choose my religion or my clothes. I am not free to live with my boyfriend and have sex with him, in fact these things would have me executed. I do not have freedom of speech, or any other human rights for that matter. My life is so hard and I can't live another moment of it. I'm so stressed by everything that I rarely have a moment to be bored. Sometimes we take the things we have for granted. I would do anything to be living your life right now. Things will get better for you, and I hope someday for me too. Love you, P from Iran

Try to detach from this world. Be resourceful , be grateful and be statisified with what you have... Even in the west , there are hardships , because some people there suffer from depression and 40 percent of babies are born outside marriage ...There is substance abuse and some people get drunk . Love and light from Lebanon ... Please , see how you can improve your life even 1 percent a week and things would start step by step to improve ...

I'm so, so sorry for what you have to endure. My boyfriend is from Iran and he always tells me about life there... I can't imagine how you must feel. Know that we are constantly thinking of you and hoping for your freedom. Sending you endless love and strength! Mirjam from Germany ❤

I feel for you and your situation, and I'm praying things get better for you soon. But just like you vs. Renee, there are people out there that have it worse than you, too. The problem is, we can only know what we know. And anyone who struggles should not be made to feel that their struggle isn't valid because someone else has it worse. It's not a competition. It really is an internal battle with oneself based only on what WE know and have experienced. It's like trying to compare apples to onions. Blessings to you and yours!

Yes, I’m currently disappearing for the whole summer. With my time I’m slowing down, going on vacation to hike and be in nature and I’m writing a book to self publish at the end of summer 👌🏻 being offline since mid May has been amazing and not being exposed to ad after ad on Instagram and wherever else feels like I’m flying under some kind of radar. Lol. You don’t realize how much you’re targeted for ads and things until you log off. It’s actually disturbing. I feel freeeeeee. Happy summer!!!

I needed this BC going through this is really scary,.. wondering if its ever going to end! I'm still in it,and I've been learning about going through, The Dark Night of the Soul. It blew my mind. Most people go through this at least once in life. Its far deeper than depression. But to know its normal, and that you can come out of it better than before, gives me great hope. I feel like its a mandatory thing to go through to become a for real real adult. If that makes sense. Lol. For me at least. Anyway I really appreciate this video and your tips and advice. Btw,your hair looks so pretty. This has given me more hope. Thanks bunches girl, much love, and God bless.

My battery used to be 'drained' because I was a 'perfectionist' who relied on my own 'self-ambition' as my guiding light. It was a mistake. I reduced the amount of writing I worked on and now look at things like taking my two dogs (along with my mom's dog) to the beach with some (diet) orange soda and fried chicken and an umbrella every two weeks :) I try to help my mom out at her house with some of her gardening responsibilities. You really will 'burn out' again if your life is focused 'exclusively' on what's important to you, not your dogs or your mom ;) Just be a 'kid' again! You know what they say about 'all work and no play.' Psychologically speaking, our bodies understand 'relaxing' more when it actually experiences real 'fun' on a regular basis. It's pretty hard to 'relax' if our whole schedule is built around 'ambition' and 'notoriety.' Our memories with 'others' are what's important at the end of the day, not how much we've achieved in our own 'subjective' way. 'Openness' is extremely important to our 'long term' happiness. If we are too focused on our health as a kind of personal 'cult' or how many 'spiritual' books we read, we're becoming way too 'pigeon holed' and telling our brains that we're in some kind of 'self rendered' survival mode. Establishing 'real' relationships with our dogs, like taking them on consistent walks and playing with them is important. Having kids really does solve a lot of our 'long term' happiness issues especially when we create 'quality' lives with them. We 'have' to invest in our own 'relationships' with others. This goes beyond our 'partners.' Remember, life is not complicated, we just make it 'that way.'

Enjoy slow life, feel lighter that is lighter burden, is it because i missed little things that brought me joy, i quickly feels bored, how to realize what is my problem, it does not have much impact on me, how took a step back and disappear, i got back to enjoy the little things, i want to recharging like kind just like realigning with myself, adakah semua menghadapi masalah yang serupa atau menghadapi masalah yang lain sikit, try to focus on one thing, how to reflect my own mistake, is rewatching anime will make you lost the hype to watch anime, is anybody can prove this theory is wrong, how to feel free in your life, when do you know if you find happiness in your life again, give yourself a permission to start over but give yourself permission to quit sometimes , sometimes simplifying you life means letting go of things in your life that no longer serve you, that not quitting that releasing the pressure and need of doing something that no longer makes you happy or has a purpose in your life, we need changes, change create excitement when i feel the lack of excitement, now i know i just need a little bit of change i need some stress, i was not stressed enough i know that weird, i feel like i was lacking a feeling, how to make me feel better

I think sometimes when someone is in a funk, they may be experiencing symptoms of a mental illness. I encourage anyone who is struggling with any mental health issue(s) to reach out for help and know that you are not alone. “Disappearing” when someone is experiencing depression may not be the best course of action.
