My in-laws had just moved into a new house and their cat Phoebe ‘disappeared’ and we had the exact same chain of events.... wondering where she was, we could hear her meowing and genuinely thought she was in the walls. We thought she had maybe gotten into the walls upstairs (there was a hole in a wall that needed repaired in a closed room) and then fallen down to the kitchen? Then we open the fridge and BAM, she comes flying out after munching on some ham hahahah. So others cats definitely do this!

I did have a cat that, as a kitten, talked to me a lot about his bathroom habits. My loose translation: MOMMY! MOM! I gotta POO! I pooped mom! Mom? I pooped - wanna smell my butt? He finally grew out of that conversation, and the only chats we had were when he was outside and I wanted him to come in - we'd meow back and forth like he was using my voice to locate home lol. He reverted to the potty conversation when he was elderly. No vet ever found any reason for it - he had normal bathroom habits, just liked to talk about it lol.

Léo will meow and ask for pets, but then he'll flee. Oh yeah, I also have conversations with him. Lol. I also have that with his big brother too, but it's funnier with Léo because he's super loud. Ok, so, he was feral when we got him (still is a bit? or at least still a scaredy cat even though he has nothing to fear, lol) and I got him used to human presence and touching with picking him up and putting him in front of his food when it was time for dinner. Now, 5 years later, I'm the only person who can pick him up, even though he has a strong preference for his daddy when it comes to love and pets. So, to keep him used to human contact and not freak out all the time, I pick him up when he's calm and wants many pets. And EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. He'll squeak like I'm hurting him or something. And then he'll just chill on my shoulder. Why does he act like I'm going to hurt him or it's torture when we all know he likes it? I have no idea. As for Cookie, where to begin? First of all, he's not really a cat. He's my bodyguard. Anywhere I go, he follows, even if he was napping. I go upstairs? Upstairs he goes. I come downstairs? Yup, a furry shadow. He also makes the cutest sounds too. You have to keep in mind that I'm talking about a BIG kitty (Maine Coon grandma or grandpa, according to the vet), and he has the tiniest, cutest kitten meow ever. He also chirps like a bird (which is normal for excited kittehs, but still, super cute). He comes when I call his name. Is it weird? Not really. Did I have to share? Duh. Like Menchie, he will climb on us. He loves sleeping on shoulders and necks and knees and everywhere there's a momma or a daddy. He prefers his daddy's shoulders, though, they're super comfy and way less bony than mine, lol. He LOoooOoooOoooves anything I do to him. I will pick him up, flip him on his back in my arms and smoosh my face in his fluffy belly. I will aggressively pet him (ok, that's not something I do too often, but still happens), he loves kisses too. Kisses on his little head are the best. Really, I can do most things to him and he'll purr and love it because it's me giving him attention. He love vanilla pudding. He's not into human food at all, usually, but yeah, vanilla pudding is his guilty pleasure since he was a kitten. He acts like a dog, most of the time. Except he's a cat, he's super soft, not stinky and waaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy quieter.
