6:32 So, this is just an ideal suggestion. I have a 10x20 shed that I have converted into a cabin ( shabin ) similar to this one, except both of my windows are on the side. The two upper lofts can be used as sleeping quarters, and so therefore, you have more space at the bottom. Right now i'm finishing off the porch and putting a door up, so that this will become my bathhouse, and you can always just build a deck onto it, which is what I plan to do. So that little side porch, that you see, you already have the one side framed up because it's apart of the structure, and you have another side already framed up because that's where the door is, so you're just closing off the other two sides ( this way you don't lose any space ). I'm not sure if all of that made sense. But in a nutshell, if your sleeping quarters are up top, then you have tons of living space below and to make the bathroom more private and obviously, to keep smell down just keeping it real,; I'm framing off the porch for a bathroom. It's a work in progress. I'm about 90% done, but i'm loving it and it's efficient

Hi, great ideas. You said your property already has a septic, are you talking about the 40 acres ? If so the septic will be by the old building and you wanted to put the airb&b's by the drive you are clearing. That is really far from the septic. I would definitely check into that and if that septic is good. Probably will need cleaned out plus you'll need to know the size for other buildings. ??? Definitely call county, regulations on building permits. Tiny homes are usually on wheels, thats why everyone comments on the 400 sq ft rule. Not sure if it will be the same turning small sheds into airb&b's. But still you'll need water, solar and insurance. Not really being a downer, I just always look at the big picture. Find out what the county will let you start out with, small, at first. Because it will be rental property. Or start with a travel trailer park. Nightly rates, not long term. But definitely have insurance. A guy on KZbin said he let someone stay on his property, the guy got hurt, and sued and basically took control of his property. So scary. Love the bigger blue shed, too cute

@seashellsprosperity872928 күн бұрын
Hello! Happy Holidays! People travel for different reasons. Not only can you put an outdoor shower for the small one, but you should also leave the door slinging out for inside space. Also, the one with the porch isn't needed because you can always add on a porch and keep the space in the inside of the home. You can add a gazebo and realize that it would be a vacation oasis for visitors. Plan and prosper.

Great idea sometimes you might be able to get a repoed shed keep an eye out and you might want to get one without a bed on top that could be a big liability something to keep in mind. Check on prices with and without loft see if you get more foot space without the loft for the same price? Your place is looking great. I don’t know if you seen my other comment about turning ur hard metal rake upside down to spread ur gravel when I was married we had crushed cement poured like you did with your gravel and that’s how I spread the crushed concrete. I’ve seen people spread powder cement over the gravel lightly then water it it makes the gravel stick together so you don’t lose your gravel during rain. There might be a video on utube I’m sure. ❤️

In my opinion that last shed (8x12) is way too small. By the time you get insulation in, then put up the sheet rock walls, it’s going to feel really, really small. Not only that, there’s no room for a toilet/sink/shower plus a bed and some type of kitchenette. I do AirBNB a lot when I travel because I don’t like staying in hotels. Whether I rent a studio or just a bedroom, there is always access to a bathroom (sink, shower, toilet) as well as some type of kitchen or kitchenette and fridge/microwave. My suggestion is to go on AirBNB and start looking at studio apartments, or studio cabins, or even just someone renting out their guest bedroom - that way you can get a realistic idea of what your AirBNB cabin should have in it. Otherwise people will not book it.

Best bet for getting a deal on a shed is buying a repossessed model. Whenever you go shopping for one, ask if they have any and check them out. They tend to be substantially cheaper. Also, be mindful of code, zoning, and the building size. I think anything larger than 400 square feet would cause issues with permitting but you'll have to check about that. Also, you'll need connection to septic, water source, power, etc.
@simplysimona456228 күн бұрын
Thank you!🙂 Yes we are very aware of all these things. Both of our properties have septics on them🙂
@b4k4survivor28 күн бұрын
@@simplysimona4562 Cool. I just know sometimes people spend a lot of time and money and then find out something isn't right and it causes big problems. Like, I think that first shed you looked at was big (over 400 sq feet), so if you tried to use something like that, the county might give you grief because it's bigger than 400 sq feet (which I believe is the maximum size Arizona considers a "tiny house," but I'm not 100% on that). It's hard to say for sure because every county is slightly different and even in the same county, sometimes one inspector thinks one way and another inspector thinks the opposite.

@@b4k4survivorLots of areas are different. Some are unrestricted where you can have everything OFF-GRID, including the bathroom. So, a composting toilet and shower hooked up to a big 5000 water gallon, water pump, etc., is all that's needed (including an electric hot water tank). The kitchen area could be a plug-in cooktop and oven. It's really not that complicated at all, especially on unrestricted land. I've watched countless videos of people in Arizona with TEENY TINY Airbnbs to very BIG Airbnbs, some were on the grid, some were off the grid!!
