A very comprehensive informative video. Rather then icons for the tiles, is it possible to allocate a picture, which would be more intuitive? This used to be possible on the "smart life" app but sadly this feature was removed last year, I have no idea why this useful feature was removed

I think you can make a tile a picture or at least have a background of a picture and then just leave it blank. Never tried it because I like the clean look.

I appreciate your videos they are very helpful. I have aeotec for all my sensors, lutron for all my switches. And the problem I’m having is I have the nest floodlight cams. I’m looking for a dashboard that I can make simple for older people but I can’t seem to find one that I can include the nest cams along with my SmartThings. Any ideas?

It sounds like a lot of your devices may not be compatible in smart things and that is what really needs to happen to get all of your devices onto a dashboard and working together. You might want to see what is compatible and determine what might need to be replaced to get the functionality you want.

Hello Justin, Sharptools also works with other providers such as: Smartlife, Hue, Shelly, Aqara, Alexa. Do your tips also work on a Fire HD tablet for Europe / Germany. Greetings Ulrich

SharpTools works with any device that can be added to SmartThings or Hubitat hubs. I would think that the fire tablet options would be the same in your country!

Not really but those buttons work exactly the same as a browser. So you can't go back on the first one but you can go back on the second one and once you go to the second you can go forward from the first to the second etc.

How did you get cameras under media as opposed to “things” 11:18

The cameras are not in my SmartThings so will not show in the Things area. They were added as media using TinyCam Pro software and will only work locally.

Hi, I'm new to this and really struggling to understand how to put everything together. I have a Fire 8 tablet which will be wall mounted. I'm working from Smartthings and have added a security system. That's all i have on my smartthings currently. I've got fully kiosk already installed on the tablet, but what i'm struggling with is understanding how new tiles work. The tiles pulled from smartthings seem ok, but I'd like to add a weather tile, or add a music tile. How do i get them to link? On your video you pulled up a weather and camera tile from your drop down list and they worked straight away. How do i get new new items on my list? Not sure if i'm going about this completely wrong.

For the integrations, can you add video from other sources that are not supported by smartthings like a Eufy doorbell camera view for example? Or does it absolutely have to work with smartthings? Grear video btw.

If you can add it to tiny cam then it will work with SharpTools.

For the weather SharpTools has a developer code you can add. Check their support site. Not sure on Ring you might find something about that there also. I don't have one to test.

How do you put the dashboard on your actual desktop though? I don't want to have to open my webbrowser on my PC manually then find the bookmark to get me to the dahsboard.. I know there should be a way to do this but I can't think of it right now. Do you know or have a video you can send me to? Thanks!

SharpTools is not a program it is a web based application. So you would need to use a shortcut to your dashboards to use them on your actual desktop in a browser window. This is actually good because you can use it on any device whether it be a phone, tablet, PC, echo device or a smart TV.
