We're all using a Google server out there in a Google Data Center right now! On KZbin, everytime you stream a video, upload a video, livestream to KZbin, etc, you're using a Google server out there in a Google Data Center! 😃

Honestly, it makes me so happy to see this working and be sustainable. I’ve had this phase where I’m always focused on sustainability and this makes me so happy to see how small this carbon impact is.

@@axeljefyua9387 - The heat generated by the machines is plenty (as heat can only be removed via radiation - craft would tend to stay warm inside via the equipment alone - but initially you need some heat to get things started - true, but the only way to remove it is with large external thermal fins)

Besides cooling & power difficulties, space is the worst place to put your data for so many reasons - radiation alone still plays havoc with rad hardened electronics (which add extra weight to boot).

They dont use hard drives to store data they use SDDs for flash storage, thats why the videos have to render and why they can store such an insane amount
