Malagkit pero hindi kakanin? Try this #simpol Ilonggo-style ARROZ VALENCIANA recipe na bagay na bagay sa inyong hapag this holiday season! Festive na festive, kaya luto na!
Ingredients:
3 cups - Glutinous Rice
4 cups - Chicken stock
1 tbsp - Turmeric powder
1 pc - Red onion
4 cloves - Garlic
250 g - Chicken thigh fillet
150 g - Chicken liver
3 pcs - Chinese chorizo
8-10 pcs - Shrimp
1 pc - Red bell peppers
1 pc - Green bell peppers
1 tbsp - Paprika
1 tsp - Cayenne peppers
½ cup - Raisins
½ cup - Green peas
½ cup - Chicken stock
Patis & black pepper to taste
Hard-boiled eggs

I love aroz Valenciana. Pero ang nakita ko sa pag luto nyan with my late father who was from negros occ. ay napakaraming halo. Raisen, green peas, bell pepper red & green, chicken liver, chicken breast, pork liver, lean meat ng pork, beef lean meat puro free cook bago ihalo sa glutinous rice, shrimp, crab meat , fish sauce, gata, turmeric much better Yung fresh talaga at pina pound sa almires, gata pure, alpine evap, chicken Stock, at shrimp stock & beef stock. Niluluto nila Kawa. Na dahan dahan ang apoy.

It was the first dish i ever cooked when i was in high school (CIrca 1972) as our project in Home Economics, he! He masaya ang teacher and mommy ko. You can figure how very old i am.

Idk the authentic way but my mum always made valenciana every holidays. Mum is from negros and this is her specialty. I didnt grow up there but for some reason I ate this like a lot. Especially pag yung may pasas na part.

Love! No celebration in my childhood was without valenciana. Now, when the oldies make lambing, this is their top request for me to cook. Learned your recipe (in Another YT vid) because we're from Negros And itshe tastes from that region that they crave.

i might cook this for myself this xmas i really miss it. i hope it turns out fine kase d ako sanay magluto nito. the last time i tried, dinala ko sa potluck. my bad dami pala Caviteño nilait lng iba daw itsura at lasa. so ill just cook for myself this time. sana lng my chicken liver, mas preferred ko yon

Salute!!! Marihap magluto. Nasa kusina na ako mula pa noon, kaya alam ko ang hirap nang tagaluto. Pero, kaya nyo kaya to? Araw araw work ako. Pag-uwi ko sa hapon, daan ako market. Pag nasa bahay na ako, hugasan ko muna mga dishes, saka ko iprepare dinner namin. Basta timplahan lng ako nang kape ni Klyppatra.

Arroz Balenciana is also one of Bacolodnon's favorite dishes for every occasion. Usually niluluto nmin eto pag birthdays, Christmas, Araw ng mga Patay at Fiestas. Iba-ibang version o way man ang pagluto ang importante ang kinalabasan: Masarap! Sa pag observe sa mother ko ng pagluluto noon kaya marunong din ako magluto nito at natutuwa ang ibang members of the family (my husband's side) kapag nagdadala ako nito sa family gatherings namin. Better late that never. Silent subbie here @Chef Tatung & I truly thank you for the heart-warming & nostalgic memory of my childhood that you rekindled because this was one of our Lolo Raul's signature dishes (our Father side hails from Negros Occ) who was a military cook back in the day. You are also correct when you said not alot of people know about this at present. I also just recently discovered the 'bringhe'. I will cook & share this with our church community one of these days😋💯👌

Bringhi yan sa kapampanga n, po . At palagi ako naglulut nyan lalo na sa pasko at new year ❤ 🎉🎉🎉tradition nang kapampangan yan kapag may handaan binabalot namin yan sa banana leaves hnd pd mawala yan sa lamesa. Yan lang habol ko kapag nakikibisita ako ang bringhi 😂lalo na ang tutong nya yummyn😂 fyi may kanya kanya version yan san ka masaya doon ka ganon lang yonn.!talke note tip binabaligtad ko yan magkabila na may tutong para tutong sa taas tutong sa ilalim yum kapag walang tutong hnd sya bringhi yan sa kapampangan delicasy 🎉🎉🎉

Salamat Sir, I love the aroma of Banana leave on any cooking, meal or desserts! Caribbean arroz con Pollo, I think Cuba or Jamaican, May halo ng red beans! But , I'm ecstatic na nakita ko ito, dahil ,as I said, I love cooking with banana leaves! Gusto ko Arroz con Pollo with bones! Thanks very much for this beloved recipe, chef! I was in Grade 2 when I tasted this delicious dish for the first time, when we celebrated my first communion. Hindi ko nakalimutan ang lasa - and I am sure your version is the nearest to that one I had many years ago, esp.bcoz of the sweet raisins which contrasted with the saltiness of the other ingredients. We call this Biringe in pampanga, I mix chicken stocks and gata to cook the malagkit with turmeric add pepper to enhance the curcumin of the turmeric. Good job chef Merry Christmas to everyone.

Yes, almost very similar in cooking method, the only difference is bringhe dont use tomato sauce/paste, it is rich because of coconut milk and coconut cream and bringhe is prone to mishaps that can easily turn the malagkit either malabsak (biko texture) or undeercooked if the rice-liquid ratio is off

@@SimpolDotPH I love arroz valenciano.My deceased Papa cooked it years back but he used good variety of rice.The sahog are just like yours.I learned using malagkit in the 80's.Merry Christmas po.🎄🎅
