Chicken Afritada, SIMPOL!

Sarsa pa lang, ulam na! It’s the perfect dish to prepare on Sundays with your family! Watch the video below for the whole recipe!
INGREDIENTS:
Set A:
1 whole chicken, cut into serving pieces
4 tablespoons soy sauce
4 pieces calamansi juice
Set B:
Cooking oil, as needed, for searing chicken
1 piece carrot, diced
3 pieces potatoes, diced and soaked in water with 1 teaspoon vinegar
4 cloves garlic, crushed
2 pieces onion, chopped
2 pieces laurel leaves
2 cups chicken stock or water
1 pack Filipino Style Tomato Sauce (200 grams)
Set C:
2 pieces red bell peppers, diced
Patis (fish sauce), to taste
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 cup frozen green peas

Grabe talaga ang effect ng marinating and kaunting soy sauce and calamansi sa dish na ito. Deeper red color and parang BAM!!! secret ingredient sa lasa. I now can cook more than adobo chicken. hahahah. Thank you chef. Big difference talaga sa texture if you fry the vegetables.

I’ve done this recipe a lot of times already. Always a hit! I was also able to try filipino style spaghetti sauce instead of tomato sauce because that’s all I have that time. And it was way better! My husband used to cook for the family dahil kararating lang namin mag ina sa Saudi at ayaw din nya mastress ako. Dahil wala rin magawa sa bahay tingin2 sa yt at nagluto na rin. Ayun ako na taga luto 3x a day 😂 dahil pati mga bata gusto na yung luto ko 😜 Parang gusto ko na umuwi buti pa sa pinas may taga luto 😁 pero joke lang.. Eating with family and taking care of them is the best 💕

I just came home from my filipino sister-in-law house. Her mom made this dishes. it was súper delicious. I loved it. It’s so similar to the one we make In many Latinoamérica countries but with it’s own little twist to it. I asked my sister in-law what did her mother put on it because It was rich almost like a butter taste to it. she said her mom adds butter milk to it. Is that possible?
