So inspired by the custom flooring you did throughout! The mix of rugs, pool details, tile, carpet, wood directions…it really elevated the spaces.

Happy you like them. I think detailed flooring adds a lot to a build. It wasn’t that important to me before. But if you think about it, during gameplay most people have walls down, so they don’t see the walls that much anyway. But the flooring is what players see all the time because of this angle simmers look down onto the house all the time. So doing your flooring nicely and also for zoning it’s actually very useful(and fabulous if course) if you do detailed flooring.

this is beautiful and really transported me back in time somewhat. I’ve always loved to look at the fancy homes from back in that era. You always do such a fantastic job. Thank you for putting in all the time it takes for these kind of builds

Thank you Susan. I am happy you like it. Yeah I know I don’t upload that frequent, the builds take quite some time plus editing videos etc. takes a lot of free time. So I am always happy when I get comments like yours that appreciate the time I habe put into them. Because sadly I see lots of sim builders videos with way less detail. I guess they wanna please the youtube algorithm more than their own creativity. I really loved the show and definitely one day will be visiting a huge gilded age mansion. But for now I habe to make due with the castles and places we have in Germany 😆

This build is just wonderful, and I enjoyed the video as well, especially when you share some details of the era. I never would have thought of using the different floor designs as you did, it made such an impact too. Thanks for taking the time to make the interior so perfect, even though it can be tedious and not as fun for you. Have you ever thought of building a Frank Lloyd Wright designed home? There was so much thought put into the blending of nature with the man made structure, so trying to interpret that in the Sims might be a welcome challenge even though it's not a castle.

Ooooh! 😍 I've been waiting for this video! It's so incredibly beautiful and so detailed and you absolutely tied everything together in this "over-the-top" style! It's fun being able to use the kitschy furniture and the weird swatches every now and then, isn't it? But matching and coordinating colours can be a nightmare in this game ... How can a person who says she hates doing interiors furnish them so perfectly?! 😭 But I get what you mean. After I'm finally finished with my exterior, I always dread furnishing and decorating the interior. And after that, I usually have the landscaping left ... That's why I have to go step by step and take breaks inbetween. I could never build as much as fast as some builders here on KZbin do ... 😂So, yeah, completely agree with you.

I absolutely love this! It's beautiful and I love the way you incorporated the Decore to the Max kit (which some items have an almost art deco feel) and the how grand it feels! Also, the thing that brings food up and down is called a 'dumbwaiter'. It's a weird word, and I hope I didn't come off as rude or anything. I really get how hard English is! Thank you again, and wonderful build.

The library obsession for me comes from Beauty and the Beast and that library in the castle where she had just a whole wall full of books. And then other rich-people houses I've seen made appreciate a good library even more. So now I've become accustomed to the idea that rich people absolutely must have a massive library lol The Ballroom thing is a pretty similar idea. Rich people must have a ballroom to throw huge parties in and impress their rich friends

Great build as always. I'll be sure to download this one from the gallery as well. I know there are technically no servants in the sims and that you don't use mods, but there is a live in services mod by little ms sims or little ms Sam not real sure which screenname is used. Anyway it allows Gardners and maids to be live in workers. It also adds nannies and of course you already have butlers. With basemental drugs or maybe it's wicked whims or nisa's wicked mod that allows a bouncer on the lot(security/bodyguard) and you could of course use mccc to increase the number of sims that can live in the household and build servants.

Oh I have heard of some of these mods. I guess if simmers really want servants and alter gameplay mechanics they will find a way. The rooms are already there for them. 😊

Why do the tables turn black when you put clutter on them? It's not because of the Tool mod, I also use it and that doesn't happen to me
