Great as always, on the other hand, only the pigs bury or leave the garbage in the wild! That's what my mother taught me when I was a kid.

Another great video Stefan. Nice work. I am planning to get the team out there to record a Dugies All Australian 4x4 Outback Offroad 4WD Adventure in the Simpson. On the 2020 schedule at this stage. Keep them coming.

Nice video mate. Did you read the visitor book at Geo. I was there on a bike in 2013. No car and no tracks like you were following. Seems pretty popular now. Plenty of exploration tracks to west but not so many on the east.

good follow Drone footage counts for a lot. Can you tell me what the wheels you used for the Nitto Trail Grabber MT tyres are, and do they have bolt on edges to stop them popping off at low pressure, or would that not happen on the standard vehicle wheel.
@AlloffroadAu2 жыл бұрын
steel king rims, you can do that with most rims just need to avoid sudden directional changes, have never run a tyre of the bead in all my beach and desert driving

about as remote as you could get by the looks of it look forward to the rest of the series . Stefan what brand of jerry cans would you recommend for carrying fuel?

Thanks for the vids. We will be doing a Simpson trip in June and the vids have been very helpful. One question if I may? Did you use your awning much? I wonder whether I should take mine at all? I have a 270 degree XtMax awning which is heavy so I was thinking that if you did use your awning I might just take one of my old side awnings which is very light. Cheers Mick
@AlloffroadAu3 жыл бұрын
that is a good question, in all my Desert trips I have used the awning maybe 3 or 4 times. Unless it looks like rain I don’t use it in the night as there usually is little due during tue day it depends if you need shade I usually look for natural shade for lunch etc. But that depends on flies often have to eat in car anyway.
@michaelnugara13 жыл бұрын
@@AlloffroadAu Did you take the drifta 270 degree awning? Much appreciated and I am definitely not looking forward to the flies. Thanks for your info Stefan. Mick

I like your bit on Tyre Pressure, 14.5 psi, why not 15? They increase 4 to 5 psi from cold to hot anyway? Do you really notice the difference in 0.5 psi?
@AlloffroadAu6 жыл бұрын
Lol no just ended up at 14.5 would have also been happy with 14 or 15
@robskelly646 жыл бұрын
Hi Stephan, Really enjoy all your videos and the camera work is exceptional. In regard to this trip you mentioned tyre pressures of 13.5 rear and 14.5 front, what sort of speed were you driving at then ? Cheers and look forward to part 2 and many more videos.

Leaving gerry cans with or without water or fuel is standard practice across the Simpson. Also, how did you go about obtaining a permit to fly the drone in the National Park and aboriginal lands? What is the process?
@AlloffroadAu6 жыл бұрын
standard practice, you got to be kidding given the number of people who now travel the major lines it would soon look like our oceans.... Google NT Drone Permission you can apply for a permit as I did.
@AdelaidedronePhotography6 жыл бұрын
not kidding. I've been across numerous times and also with professional tour operators and it's quite normal. motorbikes typically cannot carry enough fuel to get across so they arrange a drop off and leave the gerry cans. others will pick them up if needed or wanted. it's been going on for years and doesn't look like an ocean :)

I don't understand, so many flies. What do they live off?
@AlloffroadAu2 жыл бұрын
lol I asked myself that many times, as even in the most remote parts you have around 1 minute when jumping out of the car till they are on to you. Plenty of Camels etc around though.

@AlloffroadAu6 жыл бұрын
dogs are not allowed in the NP or regional Reserve meaning French, Rig, WAA WAA but Dan did not spend any time in this areas. The Dog is actually the original Red Dog from the movie :-) he does not stray more than 20m from the car and does not hunt.
