Simpson Mod Bandit smoked visor change, break in review, and Moto Vlog set up

I have ran my Simpson Mod Bandit long enough to ensure it is broken in, and I discuss some of the features I enjoy about the helmet. I also discuss my camera set up and my intentions for the channel.
I installed a smoked visor for the Mod Bandit
installed a Go Pro helmet mount for Akaso Brave 7 LE,
and attached my Purple Panda Microphone

Never really been into modulates but it’s nice to see that Simpson released one. I run a Bell Eliminator, love it, has minor issues such as the lens not really holding up at higher speeds but a solid helmet. Considering the outlaw bandit in the future.

I love mine, but Simpson helmets are a lot like iPhones. There’s products out there that do a lot more for less 🤣 *sent from iPhone*

Thanks for the video! What size is your biltwell lane splitter? Is it the same size as the Simpson Mod?

Yeah, they are both larges. But they fit very different, the lane splitter is very snug (border line too tight) and the mod bandit fits a little looser

Nice video, thanks. Could you share your head measurements & sizing decision? All websites recommend sizing down one size, but many reviews I've read regarding those who are right on the borderline between sizes are confusing. Some say they stayed with the larger size, and fit was good, some say they went with the smaller size and fit was good. Also, do you think any loose/ tightness issues could be remedied by thicker/ thinner cheek pads? And finally... any chance you plan to put a gold visor on black helmet? Would love to see that.

Oh man, I have no clue what my head size is other than “big” lol. I’ve been fortunate enough to have enough dealers/motor sport companies in my area where I can try on different names and models I was interested in. The Simpson and the biltwell are larges. The bell helmet is an XL. On the Simpson Outlaw bandit I had. It was a Large with XL cheek pads.

@@jasoncr8479 7-5/8 is snug, 7-3/4 is loose. Unfortunately they don’t make a 7-11/16 🤣 I guess that’s the size of my head, I didn’t even consider that, thanks

Do you know if you can put on and wear glasses with the Simson helmets?

Absolutely. I would wear sun glasses with a clear face shield sometimes if I knew I was leaving in the day and coming home at night
