Hey, this is going to sound insane. Crash: tag team racing characters have many of the same barks. One line sticks out to me. When homer picks up a wrench he says "aw, i wanted a muffin." N-gin says the says the same thing in the same way when getting a powerup. Just one example. It freaked me out as a kid.

Homer doesn't say that, he says "I wanted a peanut." It's a reference to that "money can be exchanged for good and services" moment

I'm pretty sure both games run on the same engine, were made by the same people, and have some of the same sound effects (such as for the coins).

The games reference each other. One of Homer's mission failed lines ("This game SU-UCKS!") is shared with Pasadena, and one of the hints you get from talking to characters repeatedly in CTTR (I think it was one of Coco's?) is "Have you played Hit and Run? Man that was a great game."

Great writing Tons of references to the show Fun gameplay that wasn’t afraid to challenge you And it really rewards the dedicated player firstly the more coins you get the more vehicle options you can get,completing all drag races gives you cool bonus cars,gags and special bonus cars can be found when exploringSPOILER ALERT] getting all cards gets you an original itchy and scratchy cartoon and lastly for 100% completion you unlock the ability to use an extra cheat code(there are others) that gives you a secret menu with all cars including the non playable ones,cars that weren’t used and level exclusive cars.

Oh god this video dredged up the weirdest memories of a nightmare I had about it once. All I remember about it now was that Bart got turned into some kind of pizza golem with pepperoni eyes, and that it terrified me enough that I got legit uncomfortable playing last mission of chapter 3 for a while

so a interesting fact about the missions in hit and run is for all the main story ones if you cant do one you technically dont have to. when you fail enough times at a mission the game will then give you the option to just flat out skip it and you move on to the next one. i think your able to retry it again later in the menus but its crazy that a game just gives you the option to just skip every level cause they can get stupidly hard

Not an official port (from what I can see in the steam store) but someone might have emulated it and modded it

@@death0god1993 there was an actual PC release back in the day but it's not on Steam or any other storefront (licensing issues, iirc) so the only legal way to get a copy would be secondhand, same as the consoles. But I'd wager pirate copies wouldn't be hard to find.

I was a small child when i played this and all I did was run around as homer and cause havoc in Springfield. I did a couple missions but i would get hours of entertainment. When you switched over and started playing as Bart at the end of the video, I almost spit out my coffee cause I had no fuckin clue you played as bart eventually XD
