Forgot to mention in the video you can create more output mapping controls as you need by clicking "assign roles" in the output mapping section. Also, I am still trying to figure out a way to have different controllers for wireless Simucube wheels. Simhub treats these all the same, listing the control only as the Simucube wheelbase. But with USB wheels, you should be able to have multiple source controllers.

Hi ! Indeed simucube or fanatec basically have this feature embedded by letting everything go through the base and unfortunately they are not consistent about mapping, it's the limit of this system. Thanks for this video it really described well what I tried to achieve when I added this feature to simhub.

I investigated if I could detect the connected simucube wheel ... I won't say too much too early... but ... there is hope ;)

I would say that for simcube wheelbase wireless wheels and fanatec wheelbase, simhub would need to add a feature to the plugging where maybe you can add more than one time the same wheel mapping and change the name of the mapping and when the same wheel/wheelbase is mapped more than one time, only one of the mapping "profile" can be activated, that way, the only extra step would be clicking the toggle in the source controller profile mapping to select one.

FYI, I followed the steps in the video on my own PC and noticed that Simhub now has a feature where it can distinguish between different wheel plates that are connected wirelessly to the Simucube base. That way, in Simhub they get treated like separate steering wheels and you can set them up the same way you would with other wheels, like you explained in the video. Probably a recent addition. And great tutorial, this saves so much time when switching wheels 👍

Thanks mate, I haven't been using most of the buttons because I just couldn't be bothered setting them up. This video is really handy for solving that problem.

Thank you so much for this tutorial, never heard of this function, but likely will prevent me of starting f.e. a race in AMS2 recognizing almost every time after start that I forgot to switch controller profiles after I switched Wheels 😄

You can also map throttle, clutch, brake, etc. shifters are great.... If you use paddles for some cars and sequential or H-pattern for others they can all be mapped.

Thank you! Searched for exactly that. I use my Asetek base. Switching wheels is great but every wheel is a different controller. Now I can map them all to the virtual controller. Great. The only thing I miss is the analog channels X/Y (e.g. for clutch). But except this it covers everything I need. And the way it is solved is great. I'm a software developer and thought about implementing something like this. But now I can use that time for other things :-).

Tbh moza pithouse software is really good at this, because if you have 3 moza wheels, and then you assign one wheel to the buttons in game, you don't have to do it again because the rest of the moza wheels have the same button numbers

this is not true, I have the FSR and the CS V2P and the buttons are all messed up. And Vjoy doesnt work because it doesnt recognize each wheel independently, it recognizes the wheel base. for example, TC is different button inputs in both wheels, and when you swithc, vjoy recognizes them as different buttons

This is an awesome tip, dont know why i first saw it now 😂 only issue i had was that vjoy standard is 8 buttons, so a lot of my inputs did not register before i altered this in vjoy

I'm using the gt neo with qr adapter on my logitech pro base and im strugling with getting menu controls mapped. It seems like it wont let me map the "enter" button for example. The ghub made this so easy on the logitech wheel.

Hi Den thanks for the video , is it possible for example to map the ignition on the butonbox and on the wheel at the same time , for example sometimes I want to turn on or off the ignition on the butonbox but sometimes when you are in the middle of a race and have to go to the box normally you dont want to get your hands off the wheel , so you want to press the ignition button on the wheel for example , i play mainly ACC and was wondering if this would be possible with the simhub app

I have a GSI x-29 and just got a Simline 320 w/gt3 button plate. Simhub doesn’t have this device and wasnt need since I have no led or display. Won’t I need to have this identified in Simhub to work ? I have Vjoy as I used it in the past for Iffrb. Thanks

Thank you for the tutorial. I have 2 different Fanatec wheels, but in the controller mapping it only shows the DD1 wheel base as a controller. I have mappped the first wheel, but wondered how you map the second wheel on the same controller?
@simracingden
@simracingden Жыл бұрын
I don't think this feature will work with Fanatec wheels since they all connect directly to the base vs USB like many third-party wheels. Sorry, it's too bad it doesn't work with Fanatec. So I should have been more explicit about that in the video.

@@CaptainCrunch99 but that has nothing to do with simhub. u dont need vjoy unless u using this feature which as of now im not using. but i want to know what this bridge mode is.. cause if thats just turning an arduino into a thrustmaster hub like device so u can hook up everything to arduino and then it is recognised as a single device? iuno i gotta look it up
