I know this rim "fits" the T500, but the issue is the T500 base's fixed paddles. I would've been nice if you guys had addressed that.

Dave, in the Thrustmaster's website, you can find an official tutorial on how to remove the original paddles from the wheel. It will not void the warranty.

Alcantara and T500 owner here. You can easily remove the fixed paddles without voiding warranty. Tutorial can be found on the papers you get in the box of the T500. Have a nice day!

Get a T300 Alcantara cos it is compatible with PS4 and PS5 whereas the T500RS, which I have, is only mainly for PS3 and only very few PS4 games. And I think the T300 has newer technology

I got the TM28 that is shown here first. I did choose it over the 599XX wheel on looks more smarts. Sooo "not" a Ferrari fan AT ALL! BUT, the idea of the 30cm rim over the cost of a modded wheel and the time it takes to mod it this was a better and cheaper option. Of cause having the TM28 already was a bonus. The first thing I did when the wheel arrived was rip out that yellow crap and put the TM in it's place. While I had the two button boxes apart I changed out a few of the button colors from the TM28 to mix it up a little from the red, blue combo. Love the wheel, Love the Thustmaster T300rs. I have the T3PA-PRO peddles that are way up there with the best I've ever used with the brake peddle mod added. Just the one that came with the peddles, not a third party mod. Works fine for me. The wheel itself, Better then TM28 more on the upgraded size then the feel. But it does feel nice. If TM decide to do a larger rim, say a 32 or 34 cm I'd probably look closely at it but like the guy's have said here about the paddle shifters, they'll need to be set out wider on the larger rim. The current EVO 30 rim with the paddles ATM are fine for me. I reach them without a thought.

Very nice - I'll probably pick up the full kit with the T300 base. One thing though, I hope some of the aftermarket paddle makers (e.g. Richmotech) will come up with a set of paddles closer to the real thing, with a larger diameter and arc.

So i got this wheel for ps4 but it doesn't work for dirt rally (did not try any other games). When i try to choose a preset in the choose preset option screen there is no thrustmaster to select, only ps4 dualshock and ps vita. The wheel is updated with the latest firmware (25). It calibrates when i start my ps4 and the force feedback is on. I got the switch on ps4 and I downloaded the game from the psn store. Please help me :( i really wanna play dirt rally with my new wheel. I just don't know whats the problem

The wheel is grat however, I do have some inquiries about it. If anyone has one, it would be great to hear some information. First, can you use the Alcantara wheel when playing casual games like Ets2, Ats, and so on. Hi guys. I bought this rim for my t300rs based on your review. It arrived today from amazon. I'm VERY unimpressed with how much flex this wheel has. DEFINITELY not as stout as the stock ps4 rim. I bought this because I didn't like the look and size of the stock rim. But this one feels MORE like a toy to me. I'm bummed. I'm shocked that nobody had mentioned how much it flexes. I have to wonder if something is wrong with mine. I'm going to return it.

imagamejunky Okay, for me the T300 integral kit with this rim and T3PA pedals is less expensive than the stock T300RS with seperate T3PA pedals, so I think this is the better option, but I'm wondering if maybe the force feedback is slightly less strong with this rim because it's bigger? @@speeddemon4468 Wow that is an old comment 😂 I ended up getting both, and I actually really like the 599 rim, very good quality, the stock rim is pretty nice as well, I also have collected the Ferrari 458, Ferrari F1 and de Sparco P310 addons, the latter is definitely also one of my favourites, I have switched to the Fanatec CSL Elite now though, but I still use the T300 occasionally for games like Project CARS and DiRT Rally, as these games don’t work with the Fanatec

Have the t500 base and bought now the 599xx wheel but have the problem that the buttons doesnt work correct. The digipad doesnt work at all. I already tried with another 599xx wheel and it has the same problems. All the other addons work without problem and i already installed the newest driver. I've bit the bullet and got the T300RS GT Edition + the Ferrari 599 Add-in for €349! I love it! What an upgrade from a Logitech DFGT! So far I've only tested it on GT6 and F1 2014 on the PS3, and I'm sure once I get a PC or PS4 it will feel even better with titles like AC, Project CARS, F1 2016 etc

Just got this wheel today based on all the glowing reviews. While yes it's well made and the Alcantara is very soft and comfortable so far I'm a little disappointed. It's not bad at all mind you but after all this build up I suppose I was expecting more. My main complaint is it could be much chunkier, thicker around the rim. The larger size is great and it's not thin but not thick enough IMHO. I'll grab my Alpine Stars gloves outta my racing bag and give it a try with those.So far I'd say don't necessarily get it unless you still only have the 458 rim, huge upgrade over that. But between it and the 458 GTE wheel and it's a somewhat minor upgrade. If you're buying a whole new setup go for the one that includes it and you won't go wrong. 7 outta 10 for me.

+Uncle Petey Now that I've had it for a while and basically used it exclusively since buying it my longer term impressions are about the same as day 1. It's a very nice wheel and if you only have the 458 Italia wheel that comes with the TX then by all means upgrade. But if you've already gotten the 458 GTE wheel I'd say it's not worth the upgrade from that. They are so close to identical that you just don't feel it, at least after a race or so. And while the Evo rim is better than the GTE if you already own the GTE just stick with it. In retrospect I would have just bought some tennis racket grip tape and wrapped my GTE wheel as that would fix the other issue with both, they just aren't chunky enough. Compared to the OMP wheel in my Lotus it's very thin and feels like a toy. Had they made this wheel thicker I think it would have given a much realistic effect.

+Ezsprinter Well if you don't yet have a Thrustmaster T series (and I'm a fan of the TX, that's what I have) then definitely get the 599XX Evo edition - it is by far the best of the 3 standard car wheels (vs. the F1 wheel). So in that case yes, definitely yes. It's for someone that already has the F430 GT wheel the upgrade from that to this is minor. G27 -> T series = HUGE

+Bassaholic40 When it comes to details of ffb t500 is very dampened compared to tx/t300 bases. I've driven G25, TX and T500 long enough and would not like to, for example, race for an hour in gt3 car using t500. The wheel itself is fast but feels delayed compared to tx (same sim, same cars, same settings). It shouldn't because in tests it seems to have more linear ffb response than tx but it just feels worse. Logitech is not dampened at all but the wheels are very slow compared to Thrustmaster. If you can get T500 for TX price then go with T500 because you get rather solid base with very good set of pedals. If not then go with TX or T300. Don't get the Logitech because it's an old construction.

I've been interested in a while to upgrade from my g27 to a t300 with t3pa pro pedals. But then I get the shit pedals that comes with the t300 rs or gte. is the t3pa pro pedals a lot better than the t3pa pedals? Are they moddable to get close? If they aren't much different I may just buy the VG pack. I would get to pay 50 gbp less and I would get the 599xx rim! Thoughts please? :)

+Roenie Not being inverted is not a problem, I've had g27 for multiple years and would know myself if none invertable isn't an option. The reason for me not buying t3pa pro (or fanatec) is because it gets expensive to get one unecessary set of pedals. I said that in the first comment. All I want to know is if the t3pa pro pedals are a big upgrade form the t3pa. I know the t3pa is more plastic, not inverted, but is there a different in how pedals feel and work? Question is for Inside sim racing or sb who's tried both.

Get a ricmotech adapter and keep using your G27 pedals with the T300. Then you can spend that extra money on putting a load cell kit in your G27 pedals. I've been using the adapter with my modded G27 for about a year and I've been very happy with them.

Imo a the best rim from thrustmaster. Regarding the t500 rs, it feels great. I dont understand some of the bashing on t500rs, imo its the better wheel compared to t300/tx. I had 2 t300 before, both failed on me, so i got the t500 instead, and man the fb is great. Sturdy and strong, quick and precise. I would never try the t300 again, the failrate is to high and the ffb aint better, in my view its acctually to soft and flimsy. Perhaps ppl should try to configure their ffb settings imo? :)

+itastain I have rims that range from 270mm (for Prototype racing), all the way to 330 mm for GT cars. I prefer the feel of the 300 mm wheel over the 330mm. It feels a little more precise but not too quick like the 270's. It's a tall order to ask the TX to provide stong and detailed ffb through such a large wheel rim.
