No worries - in MW, under the 'Home' Ribbon, you can get Headings, Sub-headings, titles etc. Then when you have written these headings out, go on the 'View' ribbon, then tick navigation pane. And find the option that shows all of the headings listed, as shown in my video. Hope that makes sense!

@frantaylor61232 жыл бұрын
hi, this video is so helpful!! You mentioned that as the examinations are open book you are allowed to bring the mark schemes of specimen papers into the exam with you. I am just wondering how heavily you utilised them as i have a slight concern that if i rely on that a little during the exam that i may get done for plagiarism. Any advice? Thanks!
@simranjeetkmann2 жыл бұрын
Good question Fran - I believe I did bring in mark schemes yes, idk whether this was allowed or not, but no examiner checked our folders one by one ;) I wouldn't rely on them heavily though, not only because of plagiarism but you run the risk of your answer not actually relating to the question at hand. Remember applying the law to the facts is important, and mark schemes themselves are not directly applicable to answer every question. Hope that makes sense!

I’m currently doing my LPC and your vids really help, I’m in a bit of a predicament as I don’t know whether to persevere with my Private Client module or change it to Employment law. I feel like the private client module is a bit muddled and not as nicely set out as my other Advanced Real Estate and Family Law modules, In your opinion did you find employment law a bit more nicely set out ? I know from ur other vid that it was the one you didn’t get as high as you’d wanted but did you feel it was ‘easier’ to follow if you get what I mean?
@simranjeetkmann3 жыл бұрын
Employment law was nicely set out tbf, every workshop had a different topic e.g. one workshop was about redundancy, then another was direct discrimination, then another was on indirect discrimination. They also set out flowcharts for you at the end of every chapter (when I was studying at ULaw). I did find it easier yes, hence why I was surprised my grade was the lowest for it; perhaps I got too complacent hahaha

Hi, does anyone know whether this advice is applicable to the BPP Law School’s LPC
@money54343 жыл бұрын
Hey Simranjeet, thank you for your advice. It really helps. Got one question though! I studied law three years ago. Now doing my online LPC. I felt that I have lot of gaps in my legal knowledge at the moment. What advice would you give to quickly learn for instance principles for contract law or real estate?
@simranjeetkmann3 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I did the LPC a year after I graduated too and had forgotten everything I learnt on the LLB. I didn't really feel the need to revise this LLB knowledge again before starting my LPC, as the LPC is structured in a very different manner to the LLB. Things like contract law for example rarely came up with I studied the LPC. We also barely looked at case law.

Did you create all your notes for each Course by yourself while working through each module in the LPC? I've seen a lot of people talk about the legal notes from ebay etc being a lifesaver. It makes me wonder if it's feasible to attempt to craft your own notes for everything for the exam given the short period in which the LPC is taught...
@sia112 жыл бұрын
Hi, really helpful video, so thank you. I’m literally starting the online LPC at ULaw this week and they recommend spending 45 hours a week on average working on the qualification, with about half that time being prep/reading time. Did you find that this was the amount of time you also spent studying per week, or did it turn out that because you concentrating on work relating to the unit outcomes, you did less?

@simranjeetkmann3 жыл бұрын
Hey! I would say it depends on how you want to be examined - BPP does more closed book exams, whereas ULaw does more open book. They both have a great reputation in my opinion and are recognised my most law firms. Some law firms have a preference for BPP over ULaw, but it's worth checking with grad recruitment for some of the firms you're interested in. No worries x
