I like animations in sims 4, but animations isn't a gameplay. My sims can't work as beauty salon workers, can't run a beaty salon, and can't go to beauty salon. Because if I'll place stylist stand or beauty chair on lot there will be no NPC workers. I can only play pretend.

There's many things that TS4 has a more in depth process with that adds to the gameplay, but I do hate that the communication between sims just never seems to last long enough for the 'story' aspect. After the styling the sims just instantly stop interacting, no acknowlenging handshake/thank you/regretful look. Its the only thing that would really complete it I feel

The best one is obviously The Sims 2... since it is the only true barber shop... The Sims 3 is totally something different, both games however, have their own version of jobs related to them.... Now, The Sims 4 isn't even available to the general public if it isn't done on home lots... being better in animation than The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 doesn't mean it's overall really any better as it did not offer anything new to the table and not to mention no skill associated with it...

While TS2:OFB does not offer the ability to get clothing makeovers, they are not needed, as both TS1 and TS2 has a proper in-depth clothes shopping experience for that, that its successors do not have. However, as far as the appearance makeovers, TS2 wins hands down, because there are more random chance of failures (especially for stylists without a badge). Without proper shopping experiences (both TS3 & 4), TS3's lack of a stylist station, and TS4's Spray change animation, they fall far short of TS2. The aspect that gives TS2 an automatic win for me is that appearance makeovers (no matter how performed), do not pass onto offspring (their genetic appearance can only be altered through mods or making any alterations permanent through SimPE). I think it to be laughable that a sim (or their partner), can change their hair color, brows, etc. (even while pregnant), and those changes are what is passed onto their offspring. Make it make sense! 🙃🤭
