I sabotaged my sim to doom their descendants in The Sims 3

i tried to experiment with this pack in a similar manner once, only i didn't start with a huge wealthy family, quite the opposite. i started with two strangers living together, so they had different descendants with two different surnames. then my characters started dating, and i planned for them to marry and have children together to see if this has any impact on the descendants. but then i accidentally saw that the girl would live ten times longer than the guy because she's a fairy and he's human💀 I didnt want her to bury her spouse and potentially child, so i got distracted by a long side quest of learning alchemy in order to make a potion that would turn him into a fairy too... it finally happened, they got married and had a child, and then i tried to install cc and broke something, so my save file got wiped out😭 i was so attached to them at that point that didn't even try to repeat the experiment. it's nice to see that you really can have an impact on your descendants' lives, which i'd learned myself if i wasn't so easily distracted💀

You don't need a potion to make them a fairy. Just do the quest at the arboretum and you're good to go. 🧚

I got a new PC and whatever I do I can't get sims 3 to be recognised properly on it, have followed *so* many tutorials on here and I am so disheartened because I want my game back 😭🤦‍♀️

I might be able to help! Is it just not running at all when you try to run it? If that’s the case then Lazy Duchess released an “intel alder lake patch” that should make the game run after a few seconds. If that doesn’t work I’ll see if I can help still but that’s usually my first suggestion ☺️

@@ryanplaysthesims I have an AMD graphics card so it seems to be a little more challenging in that way. I've got it recognising the graphics card but its resetting all the graphics to much lower values than they should be, even if I change them in settings and I just do not know what else to do. It looks like I'm playing on a potato, and my computer is way over and above my old PC that played it well on all the higher settings 🤦‍♀️ You are a legend, thank you for responding and caring. I got so excited watching all your older videos and saving things I wanted to try but never had before the new pc arrived and its taken a lot of the shine off tbh.
