I get Sims the Naturalist Trait to make them fireproof, stockpile Death Flowers and keep at least one in every Household member's Inventory, have couple write each other's Book of Life, use Familiars and Evil Chickens to ward off the Grim Reaper, stash a few spoil-proof (via the Fresh Chef Trait) Ambrosias in the fridge, and Copypasto several Excellent Quality Potion of Prompt Resurrection and tuck it away in a box. I watch Kevin because he goes down the path of chaos that I'm not capable of, and the commentary makes it quite funny.

They didn't make the patch because of Kevin. That's just a coincidence. They don't patch anything that quickly. The need to patch it for pool parties specifically is for the Trophy/Achievement and holiday event concerning the Polar Bear Plunge. They wanted to make it safe to do that thing in particular.

Apparently there were a lot of players complaining to EA, that when they throw a pool party during winter time, their Sims die. I still wonder what they were expecting and I'm quite annoyed that they patched it.

I tend to be more compassionate toward the pets than the Sims themselves, but Beejay is one of the few exceptions... along with Urp, Murpi, the guy who was "too perfect" (I believe his name was Jules, but I could be mistaken). Aliens are also exceptions. I think I miss Human most of all. @FML Hopefully Jim has gotten back into the restaurant business by now. Then Beejay will never be forgotten because of the uniform for the male chefs.

Jim pickens takes a random wealthy family to a highly dangerous and poisonous aztecian jungle, setting them up for death, whilste becoming part of their family,then joining his own again. After picking every one of the family members, Jim sells the 130,000 $ home, commiting insurance fraud, comes back to his home with his family and taking a nap in his coffin... all so he can pay his bills for 3 months
