I wish there was a way to update this to make it work with shared spaces at residential rentals! I want to have a full-time bartender in the shared space of my apartment building that doesn't leave the lot

I agree. I gave it to every unit in the rental and they don’t seem to leave once I allowed the employees for each unit, but I totally agree, there should be a way to make lot traits/challenges for the entire residential rental lot and not just each individual unit.

I love this mod. I use this one with "live in business" and I can create a fake open neighborhood. Like my sims live in a house nexto to a working cafe or gym. That way my sims dont need to travel to other lot just to drink coffee. I wished this feature was implemented officially in the game because its game changer. I also add cafe to libraries /Museum/rec center because library by itself is boring.

Love this! Thank you! I keep adding it to more lots lol…I think I am going to build a rec center with coffee and at least one food stall…when I found it, I was actually looking for a mod that lets you have multiple lot types on one lot (haven’t found one yet). i will have to try the live in business one.

@@augusto7681I plan to do that too! Love it! I have a community lot with vendors and food stalls that but I love that I can use this on retail or any lot. I wish I got it sooner than I did!

Do the settings save for the lot? Or do you have to reset them each tkme you visit?

I think, in the folder of your Auto-employee there is a file called lot challenge add-on, if you delete it, the auto employee will back to the trait section

Yes. Someone else commented and said this. They said it was not working for them and was showing as a trait and to get it to work, they had to delete the challenge folder. I actually prefer the challenge thing since it saves the trait for something else and you can have multiple lot challenges. Somehow I installed the whole thing and mine defaulted to a challenge.

I couldn't find it in my game because I was looking for a trait, not a challenge. Thank you so much for showing me how to actually use it!

@@lucas10armond look in the folder you downloaded to your mods. You should have one that is a challenge and one that is a trait. Delete the one that you don’t want. I actually prefer it as a challenge because you can have unlimited lot challenges but just three traits.

I’m just wondering, do you know how well this mod works specifically with “Assign NPC Roles” by Zero mod and “Spawn Refresh” by Zerbu mod? I’m trying to make a custom save, and I’m trying to make it so that only sims that I have created get the jobs, rather than it be random generated sims. I have MCC and another mod that stops the generation of townies completely, and I have given certain npcs the traits necessary to take on the jobs, however when I play a lot, the npcs just shuffle through and pick whatever job they want. For example I have a sim named Justine and one day she’s a bartender, next time I load the lot she’s an entertainer. I have gotten rid of their NPCRoles and I actually deleted Spawn Refresh, however seems like it still doesn’t work.

I’m not sure. Out of all of those, I have only tried this one. I have MCCC and some other mods but this is the only one I have tried for spawning employees.

@@hedonesims Hmm okay, well just curious, do you know if the jobs that this mod gives sims stay the same throughout? Like for example is the spa guy in your video always gonna be the spa guy?

@@mustardstang573 It seems like the same vendors show up in shifts and the same with the mixologists. I know with this mod, there are two lot traits. One for unowned lots and one that is for lots that are owned and specific traits you can assign to make certain sims work as specific employees. For example, if you have a household that owns a cafe, you can assign specific sims the barista trait from the household that owns it, so when another household shows up, that sim will spawn as the barista (see the link below for more info). When it comes to unowned lots like a park or somewhere you can’t assign an owner, I don’t know that you can accomplish it with this mod. www.curseforge.com/sims4/mods/auto-employees-custom-lot-trait

Does it need to be an enclosed space to work? I’m trying to use it in open spaces and it won’t work I even tried to make a wall around and add a door 😭

@@Emimarquezin no, I was able to use it at a park and used the bathroom door to allow employees. Did you just install it for first time? Can you see the lot trait/challenge in build/buy mode? Are you using other mods with it?

In my game it is in "Traits" not "Challenges", is there a away to change that?

Check the folder in your mods. If you have one for each, delete the one you don’t want. I can’t remember if they both come in the download or you have to download the lot/trait individually but there should be a file for each and you can choose the lot or trait and remove the one you don’t want.

I agree! That pisses me off! hate that! I wish I could control the ads on my videos. They need to keep the political ads off of gaming videos! I have seen some too! Sometimes it will ask if the ad is relevant to you! Please say no!

do i need to own the lot for it to work? i can't seem to click any door to allow employees inside

No, you don’t need to download the lot. You just need the mod. It should show up as a lot challenge that says “employees professionals” but it may show as a lot trait . Once you apply the challenge or trait to the lot in BB mode, you can click on the door. It should work on any lot with the exception of some that are mods (like the wicked whims strip club). Did you follow the steps in the video? Also is the door CC?

I was able to make it work, I just needed to enable script mods in the game options in order for the XML injector mod requirement to work. Thanks for the vid btw!

@@hedonesims Doesn't work for me :( I assumed it was a MOD conflict so I removed ALL my mods. I've put the employee trait on but I'm unable to click the door for options. What a pity this looks like an amazing mod..... sigh

No, I was so excited when I found it and thought I could use it in the strip club but was disappointed when I tried and it didn’t. There must be something in WW that overrides or disables it. It does work in dispensaries or everywhere else though!

You mean on the door or where? Were you able to assign auto employees lot owner to the lot as a trait or a challenge?

@@hedonesims i did but apparently there’s two of them lol i thought it was only the one…it works now, i just have to figure out if theres a way i can add more employees…idk if theres such a thing

@@asj575 it is by object, so there are only certain employees you can hire. I believe I mention all of them or most in the video. You can hire caterers, but not chefs or waiters. You can also hire bartenders and several other types…not sure if there is another mod where you can hire waiters but I’m not aware of it.
