I think in theory University has the right amount of challenge- however the fact they never get to their classes on time makes it too frustrating to play with often.

Attending from home tend to make it easier to get to the classes on time. The Sims only need to get to the spawn area of their house rather that to the building where the class is. That's much shorter.

That’s a reason I stopped using it. It is easier if they are not in the dorms though. When the notification came up that they had an hour until class, I would send them and still be late sometimes. Infuriating.

My advise for surviving university in the Sims.... live off campus. If you live off campus they go to the edge of the home lot and they are at class. If you live on campus they have to walk all the way to their classroom building and it takes FOREVER! I just build a house in the town area and have them live there. Sometimes they have roommates and that is usually fun.

Exactly what I did! But after my last update on the ps4 my sims were glitching. I was forcing one sim to take 4 classes to get it done as quickly as possible and she wouldn't move. Just stood there for hours. I ended up missing all my exams and had to redo all four classes. 🤦🏾‍♀️ After that I stopped with Sims University. They can just get promotions and read lol.

But can't get any of the career jobs until they age up. So I just keep sending her back for more degrees. It only takes 2 weeks per degree once you have your first one

Simsie claims university is “too difficult” while her sims got straight As their first semester. My sims got put on probation and suspended after failing their first two semesters despite me making sure they completed all their homework and assignments and went to class on time.

Same lol, one Sim just did not get uni so I had her drop out and she's now happily an interior designer lol, the others got good enough grades, I did make the mistake of 4 total classes, so I'm going to try 3 next like Kayla has and see if that's easier lol! I want to build robots too lol! 😊

@@demiguise6208 I don’t know. I made sure they did their homework, any presentations and papers, they went to class. They didn’t live on campus, I sent them from home. I did basically everything I did when they were high school students. Got As in high school and Fs in college. I even had them do two more semesters once they could re-enroll. Same thing. Either I’m missing something or my game is glitched.

I honestly wish more gameplay was challenging like University is. Obviously having easy career options to manage particularly with kids is nice but I love how genuinely difficult it is. Just wish they'd make it so my sims could possibly get to their classes on-time so I don't have to spend way too long having them walk over early or praying every time they leave autonomously. Though it's still fairly accurate to my college experience. Almost wish there were difficulty settings for careers, university, and high school.

A tip for the university organizations, if you go to the events and just talk to any member about anything with the symbol of the organization on it, it rises being a member a lot faster and its not as time consuming to doing all of the tasks. I found this out and just kept talking about to one person over and over again I got to senior member in a matter of one event and never to the tasks anymore for that reason.

When my Sims go to the university, I have them take 4 courses, and they always have straight A+... That is, unless the game don't glitch out and forbid them from attending their courses. I have that exchange numbers for Sims who lived together in the same house since they where infants. They should already have each other number... Handiness is ALWAYS a very good skill to have. When away with a Sim and another stay home, have that Sim work on his handiness skill as much as possible.

For Book titles I always go with Video Games I've played like Skyrim, Fable, Diablo etc because then my sim can also program those games but sometimes I do book titles from stuff I have read, like The Books Of Pellinor (If you haven't read that, I reccomend you do!) The cool thing about making my sim write books of Pellinor is it's a series, The Naming, The Crow, The Riddle, The Singing and Alison Crogan put out a prequal called The Bone Queen right before my last birthday; I got it last year, so I've been including that one in sims too. Just a suggestion.

My pro-gamer university tips: 1. learn where the buildings for their classes are, then either have them head there two hours or so early (depending on the distance, they'll need the time. bikes don't help, especially if there's stairs), or teleport them there. 2. sometimes you must bite the bullet and either use cheats to fill their needs, or freeze them at times. Making sure their grades are good enough to pass is more important than anything else, less you play through this slog of a pack longer than required. honestly wizards have the best luck in university, because they can teleport, use brooms, AND use delicioso to ensure they have easy, good food to eat.

My sim Princeton just started university and it’s a struggle! He successfully wooed Vivian (yes, that Vivian) and they had an infant together named Violet. And violet is…😬 She refuses to sleep like all the time. She just became a toddler and she still is defiant. Everything you've mentioned is your own error but you want her to change to fix it for you. Having titles numbered is notoriously bad for the algorithm and idiots in general. Series of videos tend to get less and less views as the number goes up because if they see like "Episode 20" they won't want to watch because they feel like they've missed far too much. Then they're too lazy to go back and watch episodes 1-19. With this being Sims you don't *need* to watch every single video to really understand it. Like she has said, even though these sims are from a previous save you don't have to watch it to really know this series.

When I finished my first legacy challenge, I spent hours converting my family tree from one app to another JUST IN CASE something happens to the first one. I also made a PowerPoint detailing each generation. I’m Gen 6/7 of my current legacy and I’m so attached to my current sims. And I regularly think fondly about my old family. It’s embarrassing 😂😂

Everyone saying it’s hard but all you have to do is send them to class in a good mood, do homework, have them take notes, study for each class, and work on the skill their class teaches. Mine always graduate with honors Edit: you don’t have to buy the course books either, just use a laptop at the library or in your dorm/house and change the lot traits to help study.

Players can't even get the sims to sit down and eat a meal. They keep getting up, then sitting down, over and over and over. Changing tables and and chairs. This is like the loop that parents get into while caring for infants. During the parent's loop they put the infant in the crib then take them out put them on the floor, put them back in the crib, over and over and over again. To say that the Sims 4 is broken and badly thought out is the understatement of the century.

If you wanna improve class performance, click on the little book on their portrait and have them take notes in class. Can lead to enough performance gain to sometimes even outpace not doing homework. My sim was the perfect student and top of their class doing this.

one of my favorite hacks for university is that when your sim gets uncomfortable before exams (it gets kinda inconvenient) you can use the wellness skill and do yoga or meditate for a little bit and it goes away pretty fast
