What about getting a snake they are really cool and if (prob) you're mom is scared of snakes it could be funny but if you're doing this I would suggest getting a royal or ball python they are good for beginners I would say but you are gonna have to buy a big enclosure for them they are pretty calm for snakes as long as you dont.try youre best to annoy them and I definitely see a title like getting a pet python getting big some other options maybe milk snakes corn snakes
