SIm players have gone insane from being Gaijined every single day and they not just can, they WILL wait behind that specific hill for hours waiting for you to run out of patience and give them that sweet sweet kill. And they WILL try to fly under your plane like a frickin stealth fighter, check your payload and airforce roundels and decide if they should eliminate you or not while you're just there cluelessly flying towards the enemy plane thats actually your teammate

Honest to god, my first sim experience was just like that first clip. Shot my shot, shell says "that is as far as I can go" and falls mid air, enemy tank kills me. Second sim experience, spent an entire match trying to kill a Centurion or something similar to it in my tiny Panzer IV/70(V) just 300 meters away from each other. It reminds me of that one scene from the Naked Gun film. Just 2 tanks sitting behind 2 rocks, lodging shells across the road onto each other's visible parts and hoping one pens the right way. It took me 30 minutes and all of the ammo to kill the poor bastard who kept detracking me and destroying my cannon. That was the entire match, and I never dared to play sim ever again.

just some quick tips for heli in sim, pressing h turns on dampening mode, which makes the heli much easier to fly. also for big emergency combat maneuvers i actually think its better to keyboard fly those, at least for me panic sets in less on keyboard controls than mouse aim. if you really want to though you could invest in a cheap flightstick, which is a lot more effective in my experience.

same goes for planes, modern jets can toggle the SAS mode to go into damping which helps with flying stability

@@Danspy501st it's not a closed club lol. But play enough, and people will recognise you. If you like a certain spot, they might wait for you. If you play unsportingly, they will recognise you (and probably target you). Be a nice guy and a semi-competent teammate (e.g. using all spawn points) and you will earn respect. Some players know I love to CAS, so they'll pick SPAA as first spawn. If they're good at it, I might rather go in a tank.

My first tank sim battle i only brought the b2 biz on the map where its a giant snowy field with a supet small townlet in the middle. It took i shit you not 10 minutes to get into battle and i got 5 kills after it, i took so long getting into battle all my friends died and were already out ofnthe match.

I have a great time playing Sim sometimes, but the insane eco and extreme parallax on some sights really puts me off. Plus limited BR offerings make for long or impossible queue times

Mouse joystick is a bit weird but I use to do air Sim with mouse and keyboard back when Sim battles were still a normal game mode. It takes some getting used but I'm glad I have a hotas now.
