i used this and the answer came out wrong. the equation was: y=8-x y=x+2 the answer in the textbook is (2,1) can you pls explain it to me??

You should be able to check the answer....x is not 2 because 8 - 2 = 6 and 2 + 2 = 4 and 6 is not equal to 4. What did you get for your answer?
