Nothing compares with the sight of Santorini, rising from the sea, seen from the deck of a ferry, approaching. I was speechless. I spent three weeks in Greece almost thirty years ago. I wish I could go back, but I am so lucky I was able to be there. I love everything about Greece; the art, the people, the food, the history. I told friends who were looking for a place to honeymoon to go to Santorini; IThey went and thanked me so much. One of the nicest photos I have of myself is on the Caldera.

Yes, Santorini is indeed beautiful, just as beautiful as the many other Islands, and the mainland too. I spent four happy years there on a yacht (some 40 years back) but could not chose any one place as being more beautiful than another. I could quite happly return to Greece to live, even though it's not my homeland...Well...Perhaps it is as I was so happy there...Greece will always have a special place in my heart.

Santorini is beautiful no doubt about that. Greece is beautiful. Greece is one of the most beautiful places in Europe. Its the magical escape, where people can live out their dream moments. All the islands have much to offer. I must mention my home island though because it is absolutely awesome!! Look up Rhodes Island and you will see what I mean.

It doesn't get amy better than this anywhere on this wonderful planet -- having roasted or fried fish caught a few hours earlier in one of the many outdoor restaurants at the foot of the town on the water as the sun goes down. Like, I died and gone to heaven.
