Hey Braxton! RC Sproul's book, Chosen by God, spoke on this subject, and I thought it was fascinating! Sproul argued a difference between what human's think is free will (Autonomy) and actual Free Will, which is limited, and determined at the moment it matters by our desires. God is the Sovereign, and his Free Will is greater than our Free Will. For him to be Sovereign, he can limit our options openly, yet we still have the Free Will to pick what we desire. I pray that everyone here will have an insatiable desire for our Lord, Christ Jesus. I pray that your desire for him will be so great that when another temptation comes along, you can't help but to ignore it in favor of doing what pleases the Lord our King. Galatians 2: 17-20 --- Live for Christ for He Died for You. Glad to see more content from you Braxten! Keep it up!! Thank you for ministering to all of us

Romans 8:18 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. Freedom is not doing and not being bothered by sin knocking at the door.

Don’t normally comment on anything, I feel called to in this case. Grew up Christian, Lost faith, now at 21 I’m finding my way back to The Lord and to Jesus. Only seen two of your videos but Seeing someone I relate to, that’s close in age to me, preach the word of god is refreshing. This video has helped me a lot today. Been struggling to quit vaping, I know that’s not the worst thing to be addicted too. But it’s been one of hardest obstacles to overcome. Keep Doing what your doing, you’ve got two more subscribers.

Sin makes me MISERABLE! My soul and heat long for Jesus. Even if I’m being put through trials that feel absolutely impossible, I don’t care. My soul craves Jesus and I don’t care about whatever pain and suffering in my life. Pain and suffering is not my God! So I don’t give my time and energy into stressing and being overly miserable about it. I give my time and energy to God

Despite this young man's point of view as to who Jesus is (God), he really has a lot of good points. I disagree with how he views Jesus's identity, it doesn't stop me from receiving the other information. Thanks.

Great video Braxton! When Paul talks about not doing something out of compulsion what does that look like for someone who struggles with OCD? When I hear that I feel as if it’s a sin to have a compulsion out of the very thing I am overthinking and then it becomes this cycle. It can be over things that aren’t even sinful. Mind sharing some insight into this?
@horse.radish4Ай бұрын
I have OCD too. Boy it’s hard to live with it, but it’s easy to stop it. Whenever I have OCD which feels very uncomfortable and terrible for me I turn to Jesus and pray pray pray I tell him how I feel and why I feel it, really get to the bottom of it with him and he understands and loves me, he tells me what the root cause is most times and always gives me so much comfort. Honestly my OCD has become a LOT better since I started praying when I have it. And it’s not a sin it’s a struggle. I have trauma and my trauma is a struggle, it’s not my fault I react the way I do because of my trauma but sometimes it ends up hurting people who I love. That’s not even my fault, it’s like a survival instinct and OCD is alike to that. It’s not a sin it’s just something your brain does. But now that I know to turn to Jesus when I’m having OCD it wouldn’t feel right for me to not turn to him. Also it’s not even a chore doing it, it’s like a reward because I feel like nobody in my life understands and can comfort me at all. But Jesus comforts me and understands to a level I never thought I would have. For me it’s like he coats me with peace and everything makes sense in the best way possible.
@sjalmendaresАй бұрын
@ that’s awesome that you have found peace and solace during your times of distress with Jesus. I pray like crazy as well. I get intrusive thoughts telling me that this and that are idols in my life and I need to get rid of them because I am putting them before God; then I obsess and stress out about it because I need certainty to know whether or not it’s actually an idol. In the end it gets so magnified, it feels like I’m creating something sinful out of nothing. It’s hard to explain but I’m glad you have found relief and I pray that I may come to that peaceful resting place as well. God bless

Question. When god says that anger is a sin, does that mean that animals who resort to anger are sinners? The same with the lion that kills another lion. Are they too, sinners? To me, it appears that they are acting in their instinct and consciousness level. My question is, why does god call this emotion sinful when it occurs so naturally in the animal kindom. Regardless of this fact, i do think that your values and way of life is extremely helpful to me and i will continue to gather insight on your channel.
@jennamichie72452 ай бұрын
It’s not that anger is a sin exactly. The point you made of the lion is a bit different than anger from a person. Since we are conscious beings we think much differently than an animal would. Our anger most often times will come from pride. Whether someone said something negative about us or did something to us. An animals ‘anger’ typically comes from their instincts to protect themselves or their territory. Ours usually comes from selfish reasons. Anger in itself is not bad, you are allowed to be angry when it’s necessary but it’s what your actions are afterwards that counts! Ephesians 4:26-27 “Be angry, yet do not sin!” It’s impossible to feel nothing when bad things happen to you but what makes it a sin is your actions afterwards. Your anger could lead you to do bad things, God gives you the power of sound mind to turn your cheek and forgive them.
