This is what I recall...2 kids, 1 was Jonathan Taylor Thomas. I particularly made note of this because I recognized him from home improvement. The first wish is for $1 million and a barn fills with it. Mom is dead and dad is looking for love, but Sinbad couldn't force love. Gets fuzzy in the middle. But I clearly remember the end being at some sort of street fair and dad eventually finds love. Kids don't want Sinbad to go back in the lamp if they make a 3rd wish, so they wish for him to be a human..Then it ends with Sinbad on stage winking at the camera. What's particularly weird too is I remember removing VHS and just having this weird sensation. You ever have that?..Where something becomes this profound moment you never forget but it was minor and there's no particular reason for it? For a long time, I thought it was a detailed dream I had as a young kid that stayed in my conscious. But then I see everyone remembering the same sh't. It's f'in weird lol. I genuinely believed something happened here. Not sure exactly, but def something. How do I remember all of that? It wasn't just an image of him as a genie

I was an adult single mom with a small child and I rented the movie Shazam starring Sinbad. Kazam was a cheap copy version. Shazam. did exist and it does not now. I am not confused. And originally it was " The Bernstein Bears" then it changed to Berenstein and now it's Berenstain. What the hell is going on. I'm an excellent speller and could read and write at an early age and I clearly remember. It was fruit loop, Captain crunch, jiffy peanut butter, kit-kat, life IS like a box of chocolates, South America was a little more centered under North America and our earth lived on the arm of Sagitarious not as close to the center of the galaxy as now. Yes things have truly changed and gotten very strange. Feels like we're living in our own scifi movie. No one knows for sure what's causing M.E. but it is real, no doubt in my mind.

Have you ever heard of the terrorist attack in New York in 1916. Look up Black Tom explosion. It damaged the arm of the Statue of Liberty so much that no one was allowed to visit up by the torch since then but I have heard of many who has been there. Have you ever heard about the razzle dazzle warships in WWI and WWII, I have not. I have been fascinated by the Mandela Effect since 2015 when I first read that Sinbad never was in that genie movie. That's the crazy thing about the Mandela effect. People have very distinct clear memories and you know they're telling the truth and yet what they remember doesn't fit what other people remember. For me, I don't remember Kazaam. I didn't hear about it until after the Mandela effect for the Sinbad movie was being discussed. I clearly remember seeing Shazam with Sinbad several times on tv. To find out that it never existed even though I know it did somewhere at some point and some how is creepy as hell.

I remember Shazaam being aired on channel 13 one Saturday and Sunday. I missed Saturdays beginning and saw in the tv guide it would be on Sunday. I planned on recording it because I wanted to have it. But being a kid, I forgot and when I remembered I missed the beginning again and I was so upset. I didn’t want to start recording after it started… so I thought “I’ll record it when it comes on again.” But it never did. They only showed movies on regular tv on Saturdays and Sundays at that time and channel 13 was the channel for that on if had no cable. Smdh I should have just recorded it 😫😫 it wasn’t even that far in.. I think maybe between 15 to 20 minutes.

This is Aliens for Breakfast. It is the only Sinbad movie that would have been on television in the 90s. And - wait for it - it first aired on a Saturday morning. Now, let's say you DID see that. You have a vague memory of watching a really cheaply made, terrible movie starring Sinbad on a Saturday on network tv. The memory you have still retains the information that Sinbad played a strange looking magical creature who helped a young boy who was dealing with losing parents. Well, in Aliens for Breakfast, Sinbad pleys a really strange looking alien with magical powers helping out a boy who lost his dad. Some people remember very specifically Johnathan Taylor Thomas. While JTT wasn't in Aliens for Breakfast, another 90s child star was - Ben Savage (Boy Meets World). But you also have vivid memories of Sinbad dressed like a pirate/genie too, so the genie story gets blended in. From what I've read, Shaq and Sinbad were friends, and at a comedy club Shaq was talking about Kazaam to someone, and Sinbad overheard and stole the idea and took it to a movie studio and they rushed Shazaam out to beat Kazaam. There was a lawsuit and Shazaam was pulled. Basically why so many wondered why two genie movies came out so close to each other. Anyone that had a copy of it mostly likely just recorded over it at some point, as it wasn't a very good movie from what I understand, probably due to being rushed. Some people also say they didn't have the proper licensing from whichever comic book studio owns the Shazaam character or something like that. Also, if you have a VHS of the movie Blank Man, I've heard a preview of Shazaam may be on there.

The mandela effect is likely bull shit ( if reality changed why would we remember shit from before the change ) , but Sinbad did play a genie. So did Shaq but the movies were different. Sinbad making the fake skit in 2016 and denying the movie existed is exactly what a comedian would do for laughs and to have some interesting controversy around his name.

If lots of people hear an incorrect quotation of a movie they watched, probably they'll assume the quotation is correct and integrate that into their memories about the movie. That's testable. The "shifted timelines" is not testable and "not all of us have memories from the previous timeline" doesn't make sense. It's a superstition.

This exactly explains the vast majority of so-called Mandela effects, and yet people really will claim that the explanation is that timelines shifted. However, this movie was real. Sinbad is a comedian and I imagine he finds this a good way to generate some mystique and chaos around his name. He probably saw that Shazam vs Kazaam was being included in "Mandela effect" lists over a decade ago on the Internet and decided to take advantage of the situation of it being unavailable to find online and a relatively niche movie to claim that he never made it.

I was in 1st or 2nd grade when my teacher showed me a really old Berenstein Bears book. I noticed the authors name was spelled differently. Unfortunately I forgot how the original name was spelled. Maybe it was Berenstain. I had my copy with me and can visibly see the difference in the spelling of the authors name. I asked my teacher about it and was told the author is from Germany and they misspelled their name when it was published here in the US. This was in the early 80's by the way.

Sinbad was not a clean comic in the 90s, I had HBO as a kid. He wasn't Eddy Murphy RAW bad but I don't remember him being a clean comic & I was surprised he was doing a kid Genie movie. I was 14/15 & I remember the movie but it was so bad I don't remember the details of it🤷. Not even sure if i watched it ethier... That's all i got.

I believe I finally figured it out. Sinbad did dress in a costume for a movie at 8:39 he's wearing a costume and he probably parodied a genie to make fun of Shaqs Kazam movie. That's probably the confusion 😊. Just my opinion but makes sense.

Tbh, I don’t remember the boy having a sister and I don’t recall it ever coming out on vhs tape either. I know I would have asked my mother to buy it. My mother even remembers that movie. I don’t recall it being produced by Disney either like some have said. But I know for a fact that Shazam came out then AFTER that kazaam came out and I never watched it because it was the same idea as shazaam and Shaq back then seemed so goofy to me. I said “why would they remake the same movie about a genie? Tbh im not even sure when shazaam came out. I just know I saw it one year then one year after maybe two, kazaam came out.. for kazaam the idea had to come from somewhere. Smdh

I watched that mf on channel 13 one Saturday afternoon, saw it was coming on, on a Sunday at 3pm or so and wanted to record it after I got home church but forgot. Sinbad back then had just became blown up… I DO NOT REMEMBER IT EVER BEING AT THE MOVIES OR ON VHS. Seeing as my parents were wealthy even then, I would have went to the movies to see it like I always went to shows, had vhs. If it was on vhs and people had bought it like you claim,…. Where in tf are they now? Where are the movie rental companies copies? They all vanish to? The promos? The news articles about Shazam? You have no idea wtf you’re talking about. Period. I saw this movie less than 5 times. If you were a literally kid in the 90s you would already know this. Kazaam came out after Shazaam. Kazaam is the movie you’re thinking about. Not me. Nee man.. Ik heb die film gezien als kind. En die film van Shaq is juist een soort van rip off van Shazaam.. Heb Shazaam zelfs meer dan 1 keer gezien maar kan me niet zoveel meer heugen. Maar k weet er was een jongen en meisje erin. En niet alleen dat later kwam er een soort van App en TV show Shazam. En k had altijd in mijn gedachten dat het ook afgeleid was van de film Shazaam. Dus net als een genie kon j wensen en dan ging het in vervulling. Netzo functioneerde die App ook. Je kan een paar lyrics van een liedje zingen en dan kon het dat lied voor je opzoeken. En dit was allemaal voordat ik zag dat die film van Sinbad nooit heeft bestaan. Vond en vind ik heel vreemd. Ben overal gaan zoeken op het net. Kan nergens een geverifieerd resultaat vinden. Ik weet ik ben NIET gek en kan ook zweren dat ik die film heb gezien. 😢

I just remember the old Sinbad movies and the comedian Sinbad, if i recall i think maybe it was just a joke or a spoof when the comedian Sinbad dressed as a genie in a stand up show or a promo. I dont recall the movie Shazaam but i do remember he in that genie outfit. I also do remember Shaq in Kazam but never saw it lol. I think both "movies" did horrible and not well known and could be easy to confuse. But yes we all remember things a certain way and them changing some way.
